New Stuff: WILL HOGE, TRAIN, SIMPLE PLAN martedì, 20 settembre 2011 02:31 by madseason
will hoge

Something new for you. First of all, the new Will Hoge video for the first single off his upcoming new album "Number Seven". Here you can find more details about the new release.

For the song, titled "When I Get My Wings", Hoge found inspiration in an obituary he read about a 50-plus-year marriage. The video illustrates the love story from its infancy to the present-day heartache of losing the love of your life. Click on the image on the left to watch the video.

Then we have a new Train song. It's called "To Be Loved" and it's taken from the "Abduction" motion picture soundtrack. It may not be one of their best tracks ever, but is not bad either. Click on the image to listen.

Train are finishing a brilliant US tour with Maroon 5 and Gavin DeGraw. After the tour is over, the band will start recording their new, sixth studio album with Butch Walker at the production helm, for a Spring 2012 release, with a single out in February.

Simple Plan

Last but not least, we have Simple Plan's brand new video: it's for the third single off their latest studio album and it's titled "Astronaut". Click on the image to watch it.

Simple Plan's new record "Get Your Heart On!" debuted at number two on the Canadian Albums Chart last june, while it debuted on the US Billboard 200 at number fifty-two and fell off the week after with a complete lack of record sales in contrast to the band's previous efforts.

manic street preachers

As I posted earlier, it's celebration time for Manic Street Preachers! To pay tribute to the 21st anniversary of their first single issue, the welsh band is releasing an ultimate singles collection on October 31st, named "National Treasures – The Complete Singles"

Among all the classic MSP tracks, "National Treasures" also features a brand new song: it's called "This Is The Day" and it's a cover of the 1983 The The track taken from the synth-noir classic album "Soul Mining". The manic version echoes the original whilst bringing a new dynamic production and their own distinctive sound to the song. Watch the video for "This Is The Day" clicking on the image on the left.

EVANESCENCE new album/new video sabato, 17 settembre 2011 17:48 by madseason
What you can watch clicking on the image is the new video for "What You Want", the first single off Evanescence's self-titled third studio album, to be released on October 11th through Wind-up Records.
evanescence

Produced by Grammy-winner Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Ash, Velvet Revolver, Marilyn Manson), "Evanescence" has had a troubled genesis: the writing sessions began in June 2009 and at the beginning of 2010 the band entered the studio with producer Steve Lillywhite, but later Amy & Co. stopped recording the album with him because he "wasn't the right fit". Then the band left the studio to write more material and came back with Raskulinecz last Spring; finally the album was completed at the beginning of July.

The first single from the new record, "What You Want", was released on August 9th and now you can watch the video for it.

For further info about the band, including american and european upcoming tour dates and the streaming of a new track called "Made Of Stone", head on to Evanescence website.

Daughtry

Daughtry, the american rock band from North Carolina fronted by former American Idol season 5 finalist Chris Daughtry, will release their third studio album on November 21st through RCA Records.

The first single off the new album is called "Crawling Back To You" and you can hear it here.

Also, Daughtry have made available a new song from the upcoming record called "Renegade" (I still have to understand if this will be the album title, too). Listen to this good straightforward hardrocker following this link and let me know what you think about it.

THE CAB: Bad new video giovedì, 15 settembre 2011 15:25 by madseason
The Cab

Here is The Cab new video for their single "Bad", directed by Lindsay Rosenberg.

The track is taken from the Las Vegas based poprockers' new album "Symphony Soldier", produced by John Feldmann and released last August 23rd.

What about the clip? Well, very cute girl, but poor video. And the song is nothing outstanding either. Click on the blonde to watch it.

The Cab will be hitting the road this Fall for a US tour with Simple Plan, Forever The Sickest Kids and Marianas Trench. Visit their website for further info.
