"Hurts Like Heaven" is the prequel to the story of Mylo Xyloto, which is to be told via a six-part comic series written by Academy Award-nominated writer/director Mark Osborne (Kung Fu Panda), co-written by Dylan Haggerty with artwork courtesy of Alejandro Fuentes. The series will be available for purchase from February 2013 onwards.

In other news, on November 19 Coldplay will release a new concert film, "Live 2012", recorded at many concerts over the Mylo Xyloto Tour. The film will be available on CD/DVD, Blu-ray/CD and digitally. Watch the official trailer here.

On October 18th, english superstars Coldplay will launch KROQ's new Red Bull Sound Space with a live performance for the L.A. radio station. Follow the show at www.kroq.com/soundspace, starting at 16.30 (CET).

And on October 26th, a couple of days after the release of "Mylo Xyloto", their brand new studio record,  Coldplay will play at the Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas in Madrid, Spain, during the American Express Unstaged show. The show will be webcasted on YouTube, starting from 22.00 (CET).

Let's go back to last July, as this weekend the UK's Sunday Times newspaper gives away a free EP of tracks from Coldplay's performance at the iTunes Festival in London. See the newspaper or its online edition today for details of how to download seven free songs. A further five tracks will be given away in The Times next week.

Here's the song that millions of people were waiting for: Coldplay's new single from their upcoming fifth studio album "Mylo Xyloto", to be released on October 24th (see previous news on weChameleon).

The single is called Paradise and was debuted at 7:50am on BBC Radio1 today (this is the link to download it from iTunes).

Is it worth the wait? I think it's a nice atmospheric pop song, nothing more, nothing less. However, judge by youself clicking on the image.

The album will be released in digital, CD and vinyl formats. A special limited edition Pop-Up Album version will also be available, which will include a 12" x 12" hardback book containing graffiti pop-up art designed by David A. Carter, vinyl, CD and exclusive content including photographs, excerpts from the studio diary and the band's personal notebooks.

The next single from the album is called "Paradise" (the first being "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall") and it's coming out on September 12.

This Sunday (June 26), Coldplay will be releasing the "Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall" digital EP, featuring two more brand new tracks - "Major Minus" and "Moving To Mars".

Coldplay are also pleased to report that you'll be able to experience Coldplay's headline set on Glastonbury's Pyaramid Stage on Saturday (June 25th) wherever in the world you are. In the UK, the show - which begins at 10.15pm UK time - will be broadcast live on BBC2 and BBC HD. It will also be shown live on Germany's ZDF Kultur channel and Brazil's Multishow. Meanwhile, in America, it airs on VH1 and Palladia, at 10pm ET/PT. A portion of the show will also be broadcast live on the radio - and you can listen online, wherever you are.
