Rising stars: MONA aren't monas martedì, 6 marzo 2012 00:12 by madseason
mona

Mona is an American rock band whose roots are in midwestern Dayton, Ohio, where vocalist Nick Brown and drummer Vince Gard got their first taste of the stage at a Pentecostal church that banned secular music. Relocating to Nashville, they hooked up with Kentucky natives Zach Lindsey (bass) and Jordan Young (guitar), and soon began writing and recording in the basement of their Nashville home.

Mona released their self-titled debut album, which was self-produced by the band in their basement in Nashville and mixed by producer Rich Costey (Foo Fighters, Muse, Interpol, Arctic Monkeys) last year in the UK, while in the USA the record hit the shelves last week.

"Lean Into The Fall" is the single that's climbing the Alternative rock charts in America right now: watch the video for it clicking on the image above. The new American single, "Shooting The Moon", was released on the same day of the album, last Tuesday: watch the video here.

Craving for KING & COUNTRY lunedì, 5 marzo 2012 01:05 by madseason
for King & Country

Here we have a new, interesting band considered the Australian answer to Coldplay: I'm talking of for King & Country, a duo that has just released its debut album "Crave".

Joel and Luke, the two guys forming fK&C, were born in Sydney and relocated with their family to Nashville, TN.

"Our father was a promoter in Australia and so we grew up as a musically-centered family. I remember going to these rock shows, sitting on his shoulders, plugging my ears. It was very influential at an early age and I saw the power of music and how a melody fused with a lyric can impact someone's life" recalls Joel.

"Crave" was released last Tuesday on Fervent Records (Warner Music Group). The first single off the album is "Busted Heart (Hold On To Me)" and you can watch the video for it clicking on the frame above.
Poets of the Fall

New single, new video and new album for finnish rockers Poets Of The Fall.
