Eve6's MAX COLLINS debuts as a solo artist giovedì, 15 maggio 2014 21:42 by madseason
Max Collins - Honey From The Icebox

Max Collins, longtime singer and bassist of Eve6, released his debut solo album "Honey From The Ice Box" last May 6 through Frozen Motion Records. The record was backed by the fans that helped finance and promote the disc thanks to a successful PledgeMusic campaign.

Max penned the tracks included in the album in a month: "It definitely seemed like a lot of songs were just happening," Max said. "It was clear – now is the time for me to make the record that I've wanted to make for a long time. People are often surprised when I talk about my musical influences, from Crowded House to Steve Earle to The Lemonheads. I feel this record really captures my soul and points more directly to the artists that have moved me. It's entirely uncompromised."

A very amusing video for one of these tracks, "Sports Bar", was released last month: watch it now following this link.

"Speak In Code", the comeback effort by Californian pop punk band Eve6, has been a more than welcomed album, as the singles released so far can prove. The new one is the record opener "Curtain". Watch the video for it now by clicking on the frame on the left.

Eve6 will be hitting the road with their friends Everclear starting next week. "We've been pals with Art (Alexakis) for a long time" - said the band "their album "Sparkle And Fade" was a huge influence on us growing up." Find all the tour dates here.

We're just a week away from the release of the much anticipated new album by Eve6 "Speak In Code", and the Californian rockers are releasing a brand new video for the single "Victoria". Watch it now by clicking on the image.

You can still watch the lyric video for another track off the new record, the equally catchy "Lost & Found". Check it out here.

I hope "Speak In Code" will live up the expectations these two songs are generating. If that were the case, it could be the catchiest record of the year!

As many of you probably know, Eve6 are an American rock band from Southern California that enjoyed a great success between the end of the nineties and the beginning of the 00's. The group disbanded in 2004, a year after their third album, returned in 2007 with a new lineup, and finally reunited with all three original members in March 2011.

On April 24th Eve6 will release their much anticipated new studio record titled "Speak In Code", mixed by Chris Lord-Alge and produced by Don Gilmore, two great names indeed.

After the first single "Lost And Found", the band releases now a new one named "Victoria": check the lyric video here!
