Ben Mauro - This Crazy Love

American singer/songwriter Ben Mauro released his debut EP To LA last month, showcasing a fresh, eclectic style and a skilled musicianship.

Ben made a name for himself in the business playing as a permanent guitar player in Lionel Richie's band; he has also worked with many other artists including Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears, Don Felder from the Eagles, John Fogerty, Christina Aquilera, Toni Braxton and worked on projects produced by Peter Frampton and Prince.

To LA was recorded with an all star cast of musicians including Oscar Seaton from Lionel Richie/George Benson on drums, Monet Owens from Boz Scaggs/Lenny Kravitz on background vocals, Ramon Yslas on percussion from Stevie Nicks/Carlos Santana and Grammy award winner producer/mixer Ted Greenberg.

The 7-track EP sways from rock to blues, from pop to Americana, drawing influences from Jack Johnson, Van Morrison and Bruce Springsteen.

My favourite song of To LA is the Spanish guitar-led Burn It To The Ground, with a great, crazy electric guitar solo closing the track. But I suggest you stream the whole EP on Spotify to choose your favorite track and, if you like what you hear, go buy it on iTunes.
