Cloud Cult - No Hell (lyric)

Cloud Cult is an experimental indie rock/art rock band from Duluth, Minnesota (the town where the excellent television series Fargo is set) led by singer/songwriter Craig Minowa. They may not be an household name, but they've been making music since the mid Nineties and the just released The Seeker is their tenth studio full-length album.

The Seeker is Cloud Cult's first album partially funded through PledgeMusic; it was recorded in the band's own solar-powered Earthology Records studio and dropped last February 12 through their own label, Earthology.

The album features 13 awesome new songs including the radio singles No Hell (watch the homemade lyric video clicking on the image), Through The Ages and Days To Remember. The overall sound of the record is a mature combination of guitar-oriented indie rock, baroque pop inserts and operatic orchestration. Lyricwise, The Seeker is a story about Grace, a daughter whose idyllic life is turned upside-down by immense tragedy. As she grows older, her cynicism and apathy towards her new reality is challenged by a reminder from the past that sets her on a pilgrimage that will define her.

The band made a video for each song of the album and helped produce a feature film of the same name directed by Jeff D. Johnson and starring Josh Radnor (How I Met Your Mother, Mercy Street) and Alex McKenna (Crossing Jordan, Dallas), that was released the same day of the album.
