scout

Scout is an very good indie rock band from New York, led by vocalist/songwriter Ashen Keilyn that, for the new album, has deconstructed her band and put it back together piece-by-piece -new players, new producers and, most importantly, the best songs of Keilyn's career (according to her... I will let you know).

The album's been recorded by Jim Eno (3 tracks) and Steve Schiltz, mainman of rock band Hurricane Bells, and recorded in the same basement studio (Ole Recording) where HB's new record, "Tides And Tales" was done.

Scout's new album "All Those Relays" will be out early next year through Invisible Brigades.

The first single "Please Excuse Me" is included in the new EP "Pi", released last tuesday. The EP also features another track from the upcoming album, "Under Attack", a cover of Guided By Voices' "Game Of Pricks" and one unreleased track, "Songs To Strangers".
Listen (and buy it if you care) to the whole EP at the bandcamp site of their label.

Hurricane Bells

Steve Schiltz, the mainman of indie rock band Hurricane Bells, produced, recorded and mixed a new album named "Tides and Tales" with the help of some guests, as Justin Furstenfeld from Blue October. The record will be coming out on Steve's label, Invisible Brigades, in the fall.

To help with the release of the record, Steve has just launched a PledgeMusic campaign: fans pledges will directly help the band master and manufacture the new album and, more importantly, it will help Hurricane Bells tour and promote the record. In return, those who join the campaign will have the chance to get exclusive stuff: vinyls, shirts, signed discs, house concerts, album prints/posters and so on.

So, if you want to help Steve & friends, visit their PledgeMusic page and make your pledge!
