No sophomore slump for RED SUN RISING giovedì, 5 aprile 2018 22:08 by madseason
Red Sun Rising - Fascination

Alt-rockers Red Sun Rising sophomore album, Thread, was released last week, on March 30, via Concord Music/Razor & Tie. Produced by Matt Hyde (Deftones, AFI, Porno For Pyros) and mixed by Jay Ruston (Adrenaline Mob, Pop Evil, Steel Panther), the disc continues to expand on Red Sun Rising's concept of mixing different genres and influences to create a unique sound.

Red Sun Rising lead singer Mike Protich stated about Thread: "This album feels like a rebirth. Although Red Sun Rising played 140 shows on our last tour, it was not until we made this album that I felt we became a band. The growth and evolution of Red Sun Rising that you will hear in our sound and our songwriting builds on our Thread mentality (songs that people can love and sing with us but don't fit a mold). We aren't chasing trends and never will."

Red Sun Rising debut full-length, Polyester Zeal, was one of my favourite albums of 2016; with its two leading singles, The Otherside and Emotionless, it scored two back-to-back No. 1 hit singles on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart: this marked the first time in over a decade that a band has achieved back-to-back No. 1s on that chart.

Thread confirms Red Sun Rising as one of the best rock band around: check the video for the new single Fascination clicking on the image and stream the whole record on Spotify now!

Red Sun Rising - Deathwish

One of the most anticipated come-back album of the year is Red Sun Rising's new release Thread.

The follow-up to Polyester Zeal, who featured two Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart No.1 hit singles, is set to be released next March 30, again on Razor & Tie Recordings. Producer of the new album is Matt Hyde (Deftones, Porno For Pyros, No Doubt), while Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Steel Panther, Bowling For Soup) took mixing duties.

The first single off Thread is titled Deathwish: it's an anthemic, highly entertaining track that gets the anticipation for the new full-length rising even more.

STARING OUT THE SUN: The Movie lunedì, 25 aprile 2016 22:14 by madseason
Break The Silence - Break The Silence - The Movie

Last year I introduced to my readers the 4 piece London-based rockers Staring Out The Sun with their debut EP Break The Silence.

The modern and anthemic hard-hitting rock act has just released a full mini movie based on their EP.

"We didn’t want to be like every other band out there. We wanted to say something unique to us. By making a movie out of our whole EP we could do just that" said the band.

The movie was directed by Paul Blue and you can watch it now clicking on the image.

The band's full length debut Dawn drops May 13th, so stay tuned for further news on Staring Out The Sun.

Staring Out The Sun - Secrets

Staring Out The Sun are a 4 piece London-based band playing modern and anthemic hard-hitting rock with huge choruses and great attitude.

The English outfit released their debut EP "Break The Silence" last February 16 via Sleep Walk Records. The EP was produced by Matt Hyde (Slipknot, Fightstar, Machine Head) and Paul Blue (Fighting Wolves) and features the single "Secrets": watch the video now clicking on the image.

To preview the whole EP, head on to the Bandcamp Page of Staring Out The Sun and stream each and every one of the EP's four tracks.

Rival State - Sisters Of Fate

"Sisters Of Fate" is the new video for New Zealand based band Rival State. "For this video, we asked our fans what they wanted us to do, the biggest response was to play an epic show somewhere different. Within weeks we had rented a carpark in town, got a liquor licence, basically built a venue inside it and threw one epic free show/party. Definitely a night to remember" said the guys in the group.

"Sisters Of Fate" is a song included in Rival State's debut album "Apollo Me", produced by Matt Hyde (Slipknot, Funeral For A Friend, Ash) and released last October through Shock Records. If you're new to the band, stream the entire album at the bandcamp page.
