Twin Atlantic - Great Divide

Scottish alternative rockers Twin Atlantic will release their third studio album next August 18 on Red Bull Records. Titled "Great Divide", it was mainly recorded at the Rockfield Studios in Wales and produced by renowned knob-wizards Jacknife Lee (R.E.M., Biffy Clyro, Snow Patrol) and Gil Norton (Pixies, Feeder, Jimmy Eat World).

The first single/video "Heart And Soul" was released in April, while the second single "Brothers And Sisters" premiered on BBC Radio 1 last week as Zane Lowe's "Hottest Record In The World". The "Brothers And Sisters" single will be released on August 10 in the UK: the digital EP will also include a demo of an unreleased track, "Lost Ones" and an acoustic version of "Heart And Soul".

In other news, Twin Atlatic played at Glastonbury Festival last Saturday, June 28, on the John Peel Stage. If you're in the UK, you can watch the full set here; if not, you can at least get the live performance of "Heart And Soul" from that special day.

Betrayal, cruelty, despair: the new album of AFI martedì, 22 ottobre 2013 22:45 by madseason
AFI - 17 Crimes

"Burials" is the title of the ninth studio album by Californian rock band AFI (A Fire Inside). It was recorded in Los Angeles, CA, produced by Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World, Feeder, Counting Crows and many others), engineered by Andrew Scheps and released today through Republic Records/Universal Music Group.

In a statement regarding the album, AFI frontman Davey Havok said "This record is of silence, and the burials that result from that silence. It's of betrayal, cruelty, weakness, anxiety, panic – deep and slow – despair, injury and loss. And in this it is shamefully honest and resolutely unforgiving" and added that "Burials" is "far, far less straightforward than what we did on the last record, which – much like every record we create – was the result of a natural growth, a natural indication of where we are as songwriters now".

Three singles have been already released from the new record: "I Hope You Suffer" (watch the video here), "17 Crimes" (click on the image above to watch the video) and "The Conductor".
