Grant Nicholas - Soul Mates

Grant Nicholas, songwriter and frontman of the phenomenally successful UK rock band Feeder, will release his first solo album on August 11 via Popping Candy Records (July 23 on Victor Records for the Japanese market).

The album is titled "Yorktown Heights" and was produced, written and played by Grant in his North London Treehouse Studio, The Crypt (London) and Angelic Studios in Banbury. Help at the controls came from Sam Miller & Brian Sperber (Julian Casablancas, Dinosaur Jr.) at his Tiny Pocket Studio in Yorktown Heights, upstate New York.

As previously reported, Feeder released "Idaho" as third single off their last album "Generation Freakshow", the eight one of their extraordinary career. The band debuted the video for the new single a couple of days ago. Watch it now by clicking on the frame.

Feeder played a free gig in Hyde Park in association with BT London Live last Sunday August, 10. Watch the live performance of "Idaho" following this link and surf YouTube to catch the rest of the show.

Released on August 27, "Idaho" is the third single to be taken from the new Feeder's album, "Generation Freakshow", following "Borders" and "Children Of The Sun"

The single is on limited shocking punk pink coloured vinyl and features the b-side "Stay If You Want To". You can pre-order "Idaho" today from the Official Feeder Shop.

Feeder will be performing a free gig in Hyde Park in association with BT London Live on August, 10, with big screens showing all the live London 2012 Olympics action.

"Children Of The Sun" is the new single from Feeder's upcoming album "Generation Freakshow". It will be released on April 30th as a download and on 7" vinyl.   A rousing call to arms, "Children Of The Sun" harks back to Feeder's most emotive and melodic moments. The single is a powerful reminder that despite making a name for themselves with high-energy rock nuggets, Feeder are equally skilled at crafting poignant, slow-burning anthems. As previously reported, Feeder's new single is called "Borders" and is out January 30th 2012. The band has just released a cool  video for the single: enjoy it (and Grant's new haircut) now by clicking on the frame on the left.

"Borders" is the first single off Feeder's new album "Generation Freakshow", produced by frontman Grant Nicholas with the help of Matt Sime (who already collaborated with the welsh group on "Silent Cry" and "Renegades") and set to be released on March 26, 2012 through the band's own label Big Teeth Music.
This is what Grant said about "Generation Freakshow": "It's much more eclectic than "Renegades"... it's definitely a more commercial record. I think if you liked "Comfort In Sound" and "Yesterday Went Too Soon", then you'll like this album".

Feeder are excited to announce the start of a new "Feeder campaign": their new single will be called "Borders" and is out January 30th 2012. They have created a special and highly collectable package on CD single, 7 inch vinyl, and retro cassette single. Each of these formats contains a unique and previously unreleased b-side:

  • CD Single: 01. Borders + 02. Arms
  • 7" Vinyl: A1. Borders + B1. Coast To Coast
  • Cassette Single: 01. Borders + 02. Along The Avenues

FEEDER summer festivals: update domenica, 3 luglio 2011 00:37 by madseason
This update comes directly from Grant Nicholas, Feeder's vocalist and guitar player:  "I am really sorry that I couldn't perform at the Isle of Man. I have been ill all week with acute Tonsillitis and still feeling very poorly. I am on antibiotics but they have not had enough time to get into my system. We have a new date of Monday 8th August for which and all tickets will be valid. Hope you understand. Cheers, Grant."
