Alphanaut - Think Too Much

Alphanaut is an electro-acoustic project fronted by singer/songwriter Mark Alan, based in Los Angeles. Formed in 2008, the project was conceived as a musical collective with Alan coordinating the talents of a wide variety of musician friends and acquaintances.
Not wanting to get locked into any one particular sound this time, the flexible concept of Alphanaut has allowed Mark to move freely with each album release touching on everything from 80s inspired art rock to lush orchestral works, ambient and even jazz.

Meanwhile Back On Earth is the title of the third album from Alphanaut. Written between 2011 and 2012 and recorded between 2012 and 2013, it was released on the first day of 2016.

Meanwhile Back On Earth sees the Alphanaut sound morphing into modern electronic-pop: combining micro-beats, live drums, electric guitars and keyboards, the new record pulls equally from the 60s, the 70s and the now.

This is great music for the open minded. Check it if you're fan of Brian Eno, David Bowie, Imogen Heap, OMD and modern electro pop.

At last I found some time to speak about alternative/electronic band Alphanaut: it's a very interesting and accomplished group from Los Angeles that released their sophomore record "Little Sun" a couple of months ago on MAD Music (great name for a label, if you ask me).

With the help of music video director and animator Tonda Ros, Alphanaut realized a touching video for their first single "Back To The Stars", an animated journey into the afterlife, following main character Dingo and his team of Caninauts who guide him from Earth to his place amongst the stardust.
