The Verve Pipe - Overboard

The Verve Pipe aren't a new band by any means. They became big in 1996 with their major debut album "Villains" and the chart-topping single "The Freshmen". The band carried on with years of touring and recording with "The Verve Pipe" in 1999 and "Underneath" in 2001. After an eight year hiatus, they released a pair of children's albums in 2009 and 2013, but with the brand new album "Overboard" they're back in the realms of rock.

Released last June 17 on LMNO Pop with the help of a successful PledgeMusic campaign, "Overboard" was produced by mainman Brian Vander Ark and is simply one of the best adult oriented rock albums of the last ten years: great songs, smart musicianship, meaningful lyrics and the passionate, warm, distinctive voice of Brian... there's everything a rock lover desires.

"I'm thrilled that this band is still making music that the fans appreciate. That's why we're still kicking around" commented Vander Ark. "The fans, the REAL fans stay with you. I've gone into their homes and played for them. I've swapped stories with them. Much of the new album comes from those stories. My advice to new bands is this: Don't follow the trends. Don't listen to critics. Trust your fans. They won't steer you wrong." And this one fan says: buy this album!
