Twin Atlantic - No Sleep

Scottish alternative rockers Twin Atlantic will release their fourth studio album next September 9 on Red Bull Records.

It's titled GLA, was written in Glasgow and recorded in Topanga Canyon, L.A., where the band worked with Jacknife Lee (R.E.M., Biffy Clyro, Snow Patrol) who had previously produced some tracks for the previous album Great DivideAlan Moulder (Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, Foo Fighters) handled the mixing duties to finalize the process.

Lead vocalist Sam McTrusty commented on GLA: "This is where we come from. It's laced in our blood not to mention our art and vision. It's bold. It's in our voice. It's time to embrace it and not work around it. This album is our reflection of what it's like to come from a city at the forefront of multiculturalism, both forward thinking and with a real sense of community, but also with a dark and rough history. We have changed our approach to writing and recording; we turned the idea of a rock band upside down, conforming only to this one idea - to take back rock and roll. To give people something real again. You can't get more real than Glasgow. Infamous for rivalry and danger. Passion and fear. Diversity and depth. Love and warmth. Small spaces and one climate. We have finally made the album we wanted to make."

The band has just released the video for their new single No Sleep: "It's a simple video. Us in our element. our natural environment. Just playing and reacting to the music. We didn't want to dilute the track with an elaborate visual. The textures projected behind and onto us were inspired by the album art we made for GLA. This is us. This is our music."
