Vega Nova is the side-project from Jeppe Christensen and Jesper Thilsted, singer and bass/guitar player respectively in the Danish electro-metal group Raunchy. The duo has just released its debut album "Lovesongs For The Dead".
From the bio: ""Lovesongs For The Dead" is a cutting-edge work of postmodern rock that features pounding, up-front percussion, soaring wall-of-sound orchestration, and epic-scale chord progressions. V.N. does not shirk from contemporary digital effects, either. They tend to prefer sounds and tones more akin to Depeche Mode’s "Violator" record, albeit much more masculine and confrontational. The result is a cross between the darker, almost spiritual overtones of Tool and the dance-friendly overtures of Muse and 30 Seconds To Mars".

Great news for Last Amanda fans, as the Swedish alternative rockers are back after many years of silence with their second album, "Wide Awake In Movieland". The album was written between 2003 and 2006 when the band was living in Los Angeles and touring the west coast. In 2012 they met up in Los Angeles and finally finished the recording with the help of producer/engineer Dylan McLaren.

Boston-based rockers The Venetia Fair released their second full-length album "Every Sick, Disgusting Thought We've Got In Our Brain" on March 1.
The title of the Kickstarter-funded album is quite indicative of the style of the band, something between modern cabaret-rock and post-hardcore.
For the new record, The Venetia Fair teamed up with producer Steve Sopchak at The Square Studio in New York and blasted out 13 of the best songs they've ever made. Every song is layered with live horns, strings and extra percussion to create a really huge and unique sound.
You can check out the album streaming in its entirety over at their bandcamp page following this link.
