Crossing The Bridge with GRAFFITI6 Tuesday, 29 April 2014 23:23 by madseason
Graffiti6 - The Bridge

I wasn't expecting a new album by the great pop-rock/soul/psychedelic/dance/adult contemporary duo Graffiti6, so the release of "The Bridge" caught me by surprise.

Singer/songwriter Jamie Scott and writer/producer/DJ Tommy Danvers put out their sophomore full-lenth record last week (April 21) and, as for the debut album "Colours", it's an assorted collection of highly addictive songs.

EMERSON HART releases new solo album Sunday, 27 April 2014 17:04 by madseason
Emerson Hart - The Best That I Can Give

Emerson Hart, the lead singer and songwriter of the great alternative rock band Tonic (check their first 3 studio albums if you still haven't), released his second solo full-length "Beauty In Disrepair" on April 15 via BMG Masters.

The new record, produced by David Hodges (Evanescence, Kelly Clarkson, Christina Perri, Daughtry, Carrie Underwood) is another amazing collection of well-crafted, emotional pop/pop-rock songs with some folk traces here and there. Hart has mentioned in interviews that his songs reflect something he's lived through, and while his solo debut "Cigarettes And Gasoline" dealt more with rocky relationships and personal struggles, "Beauty In Disrepair" reflects Hart's picking up the pieces and moving on, learning, and happiness re-evolving.

The first single off the new album is "The Best That I Can Give": watch the video now clicking on the image above.

Love Without Fear: DAN WILSON Friday, 25 April 2014 17:08 by madseason
Dan Wilson - Love Without Fear

Dan Wilson is one of the best pop singer/songwriter around. He reached commercial success with his band Semisonic (remember the wonderful and huge hit "Closing Time"?) between the end of the 90's and the beginning of the new century and wrote songs for such artists as Adele (3 songs for her "21" album, including "Someone Like You"), Paloma Faith, Dixie Chicks, Jason Mraz, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Rivers Cuomo, Pink and many more.

Dan Wilson released his third solo album "Love Without Fear" on Ballroom Music via Kobalt Label Services last week (April 14). As Rick Rubin said about Dan's first album "Free Life", "he is/has the perfect combination of inspiration and songcraft. He is a timeless artist whose music will feel as good in 50 years as it does today". "Love Without Fear" is an excellent album that you can't miss if you like pop/pop-rock with a touch of Americana. I Divide - I'm Not Leaving

Hailed by the rock press as one of the best British newcoming acts of the last years, I Divide released their international debut album a few days ago through DSTRY EVRYTHNG Records.

"Last One Standing" is chock-full of hard-hitting rock songs with anthemic refrains and a slight post-hardcorish vibe.

Rising stars: THE NEARLY DEADS Sunday, 13 April 2014 14:29 by madseason
The Nearly Deads

The Nearly Deads are a Nashville-based alternative rock outfit that could become the next big thing. Leaded by talented vocalist Theresa Jeane, they are influenced by The Used, Billy Talent, Blink 182, Something Corporate, Garbage, The Smashing Pumpkins and describe their music as "My Chemical Romance meets Evanescence, with Courtey Love at the helm, if she could wail like Kelly Clarkson".

After a couple of EPs and years of extensive touring and appearances at notable festivals, The Nearly Deads will release their debut full length album "Invisible Tonight" this coming Summer. Meanwhile, listen to the first single off the album "I Said" here.
