NONONO - We Are Only What We Feel

NONONO is a Swedish alternative synthpop band formed in Stockholm during the spring of 2012 by producers Astma & Rocwell (Tobias Jimson and Michel Aviator) and singer/songwriter Stina Wäppling.

"We Are Only What We Feel" is their debut full-length album and was released last April 11, 2014 on Warner Bros. Records in selected markets. In USA the record will be out on July 1.

The Black Tibetans - You're Cold

Want some genuine, no-frills rock'n'roll? So you better check The Black Tibetans, a trio hailing from the center of Los Angeles, formed in 2011 and consisting in Dinst (vocals/guitar), Tammi Tibetan (bass) and Ryan KH (drums).

The Black Tibetans fuse motorcycle-centric culture with old-school sound combining elements of classic rock'n'roll, surf and punk influences. The Black Tibetans have been on countless tours and have shared the stage with bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Eagles Of Death Metal, Brody Dalle (The Distillers), Social Distortion, The Supersuckers and more.  As a result of their progress, the band has received endorsements from Fender, Gretsch, Levis Vintage Clothing, Neighborhood, and The Great Frog.

The Black Tibetans, have just released their new, 2-track EP "The Nashville Session". As the title suggests, the EP was recorded in Nashville, TN at Easy Eye Sound and produced by Dan Auerbach, guitarist and vocalist of The Black Keys.

Produced and shot by Larry Niehues of SCRE Production, the music video for the lead single "You're Cold" follows the band in the studio recording along with Dan, as well as their antics around Nashville. Watch it now clicking on the frame above.

Big Wreck - Ghosts

Great Canadian rockers Big Wreck will release their fourth full-length album "Ghosts" on July 15 in the USA on Rounder Records, while in Canada it will be out next week.

The album was recorded at Revolution Studios and Vespa Studios in Toronto and produced by Big Wreck's frontman Ian Thornley, alongside Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Alice In Chains) and Eric Ratz (Monster Truck, Billy Talent).

I'm eagerly anticipating this record, especially after having listened to the amazing first single and title track: check the video for "Ghosts" if you still haven't and judge by yourself!

Slaves - Starving For Friends

Slaves is an American post-hardcore/experimental rock group formed in Sacramento, California a few months ago. The band consists of lead vocalist Jonny Craig of Emarosa, Dance Gavin Dance and Isles & Glaciers, guitarists Alex Lyman of Hearts & Hands, Christopher Kim of Hearts & Hands, drummer Tai Wright of Four Letter Lie and Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows and bassist Jason Mays from Of Machines.

Their debut album "Through Art We Are All Equals" is produced by Kris Crummett (Dance Gavin Dance, Sleeping With Sirens, Issues) with Jonny Craig and is set to be releasaed on June 24 via Artery Recordings (a Razor & Tie inprint).

Something different this time. Clicking on the image here on the left, you can watch "Home", the brand new video for Johnnyswim, a duo from Nashville featuring Amanda Sudano (daughter of legendary disco icon Donna Summer) and her husband Abner Ramirez.

After 3 Eps and a number of singles, the duo released their debut full-length album last April 29 on Big Picnic Records. Titled "Diamonds", the record includes 12 warm, soulful, catchy pop/country/bluesy songs, perfectly crafted and delivered with passion. An album of honest music with great songwriting and amazing vocals, that I suggest you stream it right now on Spotify.

Eyes Of Verona - Restless Nights

It's always a pleasure for me discovering interesting bands from countries that are not often covered in my blogzine.

This is the case of Eyes Of Verona, a promising alternative rock act from France, influenced by both English and American contemporary rock scenes.

After an EP and several live shows, Eyes Of Verona unleashed their first full-length album "Ex-Voto" last April 28 via Inspur Music.

You can watch the recently released video for the single "Restless Nights" (filmed in Venice) clicking on the frame above, and while you're at it, check the lyric video for the song "Renovatio".

"Your Love" is the second single off Howling Bells fourth full-length studio record "Heartstrings", the first album since vocalist Juanita Stein became mother for the first time. "Heartstrings" was produced and mixed by Catherine J Marks (White Lies, Interpol, The Killers) with Alan Moulder (The Killers, Placebo, Yeah Yeah Yeahs) and will be released on June 2 via Birthday Records.
