HUNGER - Naked

Many of you should already know Austrian alt/synth-pop band HUNGER from the 2018 Mitsubishi commercial or a feature on Netflix's 13 Reasons Why.

HUNGER hails from the idyllic suburbs of Vienna and formed in early 2014. Childhood friends, Daniel Rumpel and Johannes Herbst approached long-term fellow vocalist Lucas Fendrich with the intention of creating a truly dark and cinematic sound. Once they'd developed a batch of demos, the three musicians headed to the outskirts of Vienna, built up a studio in a borrowed apartment and brought their sound to life.

HUNGER have a brand new single out. Released last August 24, it's called Naked and was produced by Daniele Autore, mixed by Jeremy Wheatley (Depeche Mode, Taylor Swift) and mastered by Joe La Porta (Imagine Dragons, Panic! at the Disco, The Neighborhood).

A moody, melodic blend of synth-pop and alt-rock, Naked embodies a deeply visceral cinematic experience. The Austrian musicians offer heavy beats overtop layered harmonics to give a positive piece of their reality to society's effervescent negativity in their new single.

"People tend to question themselves if they’re good enough, good looking or smart enough while being put into boxes from other people,” explains the band. “Constant judgment in our society these days create a lot of pressure, especially on young people.

Naked is a true gem for lovers of synth-driven pop rock. Check it out now clicking on the image.

Produced by Grammy nominated and MPG Producer of the Year, Catherine Marks (Foals, The Killers, Wolf Alice), The River EP was released last July 27 on LAB Records and consists of 4 brand new songs.

Now a three-piece band, after guitarist Robin Windram left the band to concentrate on his family, Sunset Sons show their growth hasn't shown signs of slowing, as The River is a tight and strong EP: established fans of the band will love it, and I guess new ones will join the party.

Never Gonna Quit is the new trademark motto for the band. "It became the mission statement for the whole album," explains vocalist Gary Larsen. "It felt like we just hit restart. We didn't want to compare anything we were doing to anything we had done. We love that you can feel the aggression and the sense of urgency but it never loses its purpose or joy."

lovelytheband is an alternative pop band that formed in 2016 in Los Angeles, California. The band is led by Mitchy Collins, former Oh Honey member, guitarist Jordan Greenwald, and drummer Sam Price. The band debuted in July 2017 with Broken, a single that quickly racked up over three million streams on Spotify and topped Billboard's Alternative Songs chart for six weeks. Everything paved the way for the arrival of the band's first full-length, finding it hard to smile (RED Music). Produced by Christian Medice (P!nk, Adam Jensen, Natalie Imbruglia) these 16 tracks entrance, engage, and enchant with cathartic, compelling, and catchy choruses. No Small Children - I'm So Concerned

No Small Children - three elementary school teachers from LA - are releasing their brand new video I'm So Concerned today, August 3. It comes off the band's album What Do The Kids Say?, released in May.

What Do The Kids Say? was co-produced by singer & guitarist Lisa Pimentel and the legendary Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Filter, Rob Zombie). The record showcases No Small Children's songwriting ability songs and skilled musicianship. From the feel-good, anthemic sound of Radio and I Don't Believe What You Say, to the infectious pop/AOR melodies of Can You Imagine and Bullfighter, WDTKS? is chock-full of catchy songs with great commercial potential: a must for all the "silk & steel" rockers out there.

Back to the I'm So Concerned video: the cinematic black and white visuals pair with the band's raw and honest song to showcase their feelings as educators in modern-day America. "I'm So Concerned captures our worries as teachers about the world we're leaving for our students and the effects societal anxiety has on our youth. It also speaks to our desire to listen mindfully to our students to understand them and what they have to say" said Lisa.
