DIAMANTE: Ghost Myself mercoledì, 7 aprile 2021 13:59 by madseason
Diamante - Ghost Myself

It generally takes over a billion years for a diamond to form, and yet in just 24 years, Diamante has really begun to sparkle. With iridescent sapphire hair, a show-stopping voice, runway-ready fashion swagger, and an empowering message, the Boston-raised and Los Angeles-based Mexican-Italian-American siren brings a new (and blue) fire to rock and alternative music.

Diamante spent her teenage years cutting her teeth at local gigs on the Sunset Strip to become the powerhouse performer she is today. A disciple of both P!nk and Guns N’ Roses who doesn' fall into rockstar excess or even sport tattoos, she devoted every waking minute to honing a signature "hard rock sound with a modern alternative edge." This unique and undeniable approach caught the attention of Better Noise Music who signed her in 2015. She hit the studio with super producer Howard Benson (My Chemical Romance, Halestorm, Kelly Clarkson) to record what would become her full-length debut, Coming In Hot. With the release of her first album, Diamante undeniably stormed the scene in 2018 with a #1 song at rock radio (her collaboration of Hear Me Now with Bad Wolves), along with a top 15 song with her own single Haunted.

Now three years later, and after extensive touring with bands like Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Chevelle, and Shinedown… Diamante is in full force shining brighter than ever before. In 2019, Diamante parted ways with Better Noise and soon after teamed up with Howard Benson and Neil Sanderson of Judge & Jury as an independent artist to make her sophomore album, American Dream. Diamante capitalized on her newfound ultimate creative freedom and independence by being her own CEO throughout every facet of the album process.

On working with Benson and Sanderson, Diamante praises that they were instrumental in "bringing my stories to life and pushing me to embrace my vulnerabilities" adding "with American Dream, I was given the ultimate artistic freedom to express my most personal moments, stories, confessions, flaws, fears, hopes, mistakes, desires, vices, heartaches and redemption in a way I have never been able to in the past. Every word on this album is my personal diary screaming in your face. This album has no limitations, restrictions, or filter really. That's why the music video for Ghost Myself - the lead track from the upcoming new album - had to be equally raw and purposely gritty; it's a song about being at war with myself. I knew there would be no better way to show this internal battle than through an underground fight club scene between me, myself, and I."

JAMES DURBIN's Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster lunedì, 21 novembre 2011 21:42 by madseason
James Durbin

This is a special week for mainstream rock lovers, with the releases of the new Nickelback, Daughtry and James Durbin albums.   I'm sure most of you knows the first two acts, while for many James Durbin could be a new name: James is a singer and guitar player from Santa Cruz, California, who had a successful run on Season 10 of "American Idol", reaching the final four. He earned a contract with Wind-up Records and has his debut studio album "Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster" released today. The album, produced by knobs-guru Howard Benson, features, among the guests, Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars, Marti Frederiksen, swedish rockers Hardcore Superstar and Sixx:A.M. singer James Michael.

And on the album you can also find a cover of the Ben Moody's penned "Everything Burns", that was originally included in the "Fantastic Four" soundtrack in a version featuring the great singer Anastacia.
I already presented you the single "Stand Up", from the second EP of the "Official Gameday Music of the NFL". Now you can watch the video for the new single "Love Me Bad": click on the image and enjoy.
News, news and more news venerdì, 28 ottobre 2011 22:20 by madseason
I've some interesting news that I had to leave behind due to the server upgrade. I'll try to claw them back in a couple of posts. First of all, the mandatory Blue October news: their upcoming emotion drenched single, "The Feel Again (Stay)", has been chosen as the soundtrack to the closing film for this year’s three day (31st Oct – 2nd Nov) UK Radio Festival. "The Feel Again (Stay)", a powerful, poignant song about loss and heartbreak, is the perfect musical backdrop to an obit film which looks back and remembers all the people from the radio industry who have passed away in the last twelve months. Speaking of the texan band, I can confirm that their last american tour partners IAmDynamite will be the opening band of the upcoming Blue October's german shows.
Electronic/dream poppers M83 have a brand new video out, for the single "Midnight City", off their last week released new (double) studio album "Hurry Up, We're Dreaming". Directed by Fleur & Manu, the video is a tribute to "Village of the Damned", "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and "Akira". Enjoy it here. Also, M83 announced more live dates, in addiction to the scandinavian ones presented at the beginning of this week. This time the dates are in Germany, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal. Head on to their website for further info.
young guns

"Learn My Lesson" is the first single/video off Young Guns sophomore record, to be released early next year. For those who still don't know them yet, Young Guns are an interesting english alternative rock band coming from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. Watch the video clicking on the image on the left.

Hurricane Bells have released their new, PledgeMusic financed, album last Tuesday. It's titled "Tides And Tales" and you can preview and buy it on Hurricane Bells' Bandcamp page. And do not forget Hurricane Bells' new video for the single "The Ghost Of Her", released just one month ago.

Behind the moniker Smoke Signals we find Coley O’Toole, Joe Ballaro and Zac Clark from the great eclectic piano rock band The Queen Killing King. The new album, named as the band "Smoke Signals", is out since last August. The band describes it as a collection of "blues and bluegrass infused songs with stick-to-your-ribs melodies and high harmonies". This is a different sound that I invite to know, listening to the whole record here, and watching the video for the single "Black Holes (featuring Rocco DeLuca)"at this link.
Christian alternative poprock stars Jars Of Clay have been writing songs and reinventing their sound for 17 years. Many music fans still remember them for their succesfully first single "Flood", but there's much more to be mined in their 11 albums catalog. Their new collection "Gather And Build" is a playlist that features a handful of quintessential Jars Of Clay songs, as well as some previously unavailable tracks. Get it for free thanks to NoiseTrade here.
Download "Are You There", a nice track from Vancouver alternative rock band Fear Zero last album "Whole Damn Nation", for free at this address: www.theprovince.com.
Daughtry's new video for "Crawling Back To You" premiered yesterday. As said, the single's off the band's upcoming album "Break The Spell", produced by Howard Benson and to be released November, 21st through RCA Records.
monte negro

Los Angeles based, original bi-lingual rock band, Monte Negro (a band I really dig) has just released the single "Zero", which is an exciting prelude to what will be Monte Negro's new album release in early 2012: "Replica I". Watch the very entertaining video clicking on the image on the left.

Watch new music video for "Fire Escape", Matthew Mayfield's third single from his debut album "Now You're Free". The video for the song (co-written by John Paul White of The Civil Wars) also features the lovely actress Brittany Snow. Matthew is also giving you the chance to download his album for free: just follow this link.

Another new video: this is for contemporary christian singer/songwriter Plumb's new single "Drifting" featuring both Tiffany and Dan Haseltine of Jars Of Clay. Check it here. News about the new album coming soon!
Download a supercatchy new song from Plain White T's named "The House On Shady Lane" at this link. For free, of course.
You can watch the live stream of Zornik's sold out exclusive anniversary show at Ancienne Belgique (Bruxelles) tomorrow October 29th at 20.45 (Center European Time). Just follow this link: Zornik live.
Republic Of Letters is a cool San Diego based poprock band in Coldplay/The Killers style. They released their "Stories" album last March for Mass + Measure Records and this is the video for the single "Entre Chien Et Loup (Restless Hour)", shot and edited by Jared Armijo-Wardlean.
ART OF DYING: new life for Get Thru This mercoledì, 21 settembre 2011 23:12 by madseason

Canadian rockers Art Of Dying released their second album, the first for Intoxication/Reprise Records, last March.

Titled "Vices And Virtues" and produced by knobs-superstar Howard Benson and by Disturbed guitar player Dan Donegan, the record features a new version of the most known song from the canadians' debut, "Get Thru This". This song became the official theme song to WWE's 23rd annual Survivor Series pay-per-view in 2009. It was also used frequently during the April 27th, 2010 edition of WWE NXT. This track is also included in the soundtrack for this year's Transformers: Dark Of The Moon movie.
