Vertical Horizon - Echoes From The Underground

As previously stated, legendary alternative melodic rock band Vertical Horizon unleashed their new, brilliant album "Echoes From The Underground" last October 8. Released on the band's own label, Outfall Records, and produced by mainman Matt Scannell, the new record was financed by a successfull PledgeMusic campaign.

Vertical Horizon released their breakout album, "Everything You Want", in 1999 and the single and title track captured the #1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 and Adult Top 40 charts, and became Billboard’s Most Played Single of 2000. The following albums "Go" and "Burning The Days" are less well known despite their quality. If you don't know them, you better check out the collection that's available for free at NoiseTrade: 9 great songs plus "Broken Over You", the first single off "Echoes From The Underground".

"Broken Over You" is the first single from Vertical Horizon's upcoming sixth studio album "Echoes From The Underground". The record's been financed by a successfull PledgeMusic campaign and is set to be released this fall.

According to mainman Matt Scannell, the title reflects "some of the themes on the new record, namely a sense of distance, both emotional and physical, and the layers of existence and emotion that permeate our lives – in our relationships, our environment and within ourselves."

"The project is really taking shape and we're excited about what's coming together" they say.

As previously reported on weChameleon, Vertical Horizon have just released the EP "Burning The Days Acoustic Tracks". You can find the details here.

Vertical Horizon - Burning The Days - Acoustic Tracks

Vertical Horizon singer, songwriter and producer Matt Scannell took five favorite tracks from the band's latest album, Burning The Days, and remixed them to create this acoustic EP.

The songs are "Carrying On", "Here", "Save Me From Myself", "The Lucky One" and "The Middle Ground".

These classy, intense renditions are a worthy addiction to your Vertical Horizon collection.

Per quanto mi riguarda, quando sento pezzi come "All Is Said & Done" o come la super-grower "Welcome To The Bottom", trascinate dalla voce intensa ed emozionante di Scannell, sono a posto e posso anche soprassedere a qualche momento un po' troppo prevedibile, come "Carrying On" e "Can You Help Me".
