VanDeRocker - Jupiter's Kiss

Adrienne VanDeRocker is a songwriter, vocalist and guitarist. She grew up in Austin, TX, belonging to a Dutch-American family of classical musicians. Piano was her primary instrument in her childhood, but as she became more interested in rock music, she developed an interest in guitar and writing songs. Though at a young age, she felt truly inspired hearing the music of David Bowie, Prince and particularly Kate Bush. She spent the better part of her adolescence sneaking into bars to play with her sister's band and found that her heart was truly in rock and roll.

After some time exploring the performance scene in Seattle and NYC, Adrienne landed in Los Angeles where she developed VanDeRocker as a five piece alternative rock band. VDR played nonstop around historic clubs of L.A.'s Sunset Strip and Silverlake, and also gave performances and interviews on local radio programs. After a year, Adrienne was invited to begin recording her songs with producer Dan Chase (Dave Matthews, Pink, Goo Goo Dolls, Bon Jovi), accompanied by the talents of Chris Chaney (Jane's Addiction, Alanis Morissette, Slash) on bass, Tim Pierce (Rick Springfield, Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi) on guitar, Jamie Muhoberac (Chris Cornell, My Chemical Romance, John Mayer) on keyboards and Matt Chamberlain (Edie Brickell, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden) on drums.

VanDeRocker's debut album is titled Jupiter's Kiss and was independently released last March 1 and features the Ryan Staples-produced new single Fly.

Jupiter's Kiss is a highly entertaining, truly amazing indie rock record with new-wave, punk and electro-pop influences: it's a contagious sound you have to try streaming the whole album on SoundCloud now!
