Drawing North - Stay

Canberra's alternative pop-rock trio Drawing North, today releases their newest single Stay. The single is the first new music since their debut album El Dorado last year which peaked at #3 on the iTunes chart.

The new single, written by members Michael Po and Drew Southwell, is a song that aims to encapsulate the feeling of elation with another person.

It is produced by renowned producer/songwriter Andy Mak (Boy & Bear, New Empire, Winterbourne) and co-produced by Drew Southwell of Drawing North. "This song is our favourite from our new batch of songs and it has had the most positive feedback from our live performance" Said Po, "We recently showcased at Sundance Film Festival & SXSW and had a sold out show in Utah that we captured on film for the official video".

CAVO: building new Bridges Friday, 8 January 2016 00:51 by madseason
Cavo - Bridges

New music from Cavo, at last. The St. Louis, Missouri, rockers have a brand new album to be released on January 29. It's titled Bridges  and was co-funded by a succesful PledgeMusic campaign; it was recorded in Austin, Texas with bass guitarist of Blue October, Matt Noveskey.

Bridges will be out 4 years after the release of Cavo's latest studio album Thick As Thieves. As vocalist Casey Walker likes to tell it, at the time "there just wasn't anything left to give." The band had tried everything, so they decided to stop. But then something happened a while later. The want slowly started creeping back in.

But this time something had changed. For once, it wasn't about what someone else wanted. It was only about the four of them and what they wanted. No label, no producer, no agent, no manager, no one but them. "This record is completely ours," Walker adds. "If other people like it, great. If they don't, that's fine too."

They decided to call it Bridges, because they felt like they had crossed over to someplace new. A place where Cavo could just… be.

Exit Lostprophets, enter NO DEVOTION Tuesday, 9 September 2014 21:36 by madseason
No Devotion - Eyeshadow

No Devotion are a dark electro rock/post wave band born from the ashes of Lostprophets.   I think you all know what happened to the singer of the Welsh rockers.  What you may not know is that on May 1, 2014, the other members of Lostprophets -Mike Lewis, Lee Gaze, Stuart Richardson, Jamie Oliver and Luke Johnson- announced that they would continue to make music with Geoff Rickly, who was the lead singer of the American post-hardcore band Thursday, as No Devotion.

On July 1, the band unveiled their debut single "Stay", along with song "Eyeshadow", via Collect Records. These songs are influenced by the sound of the goth/new-wave band of the eighties, such as Cure, Joy Division/New Order, Siouxsie and The Banshees.

Check the official video for the amazing "Eyeshadow" clicking on the image above.

theory of a deadman

Canadian active rockers Theory Of A Deadman ready the new video for the song "Bitch Came Back", from their last album, the Howard Benson produced "The Truth Is…", released last July via Roadrunner Records.

"It's a hilarious look at every guy's worst stalker nightmare. The stalker in this case may be gorgeous, but she's utterly deadly" they say at ARTISTdirect.com, that joined forces with Theory Of A Deadman to debut one of the sexiest music video of the year. Click on the image to watch it.

destine

Dutch pop punk band Destine has a new video out for the song "Stay". The song was released last June, and will be featured on the band's new studio album, that will see the light of the day next year. The video has been produced and directed by Sitcom Soldiers and you can watch it with the usual click on the left image.

Destine released their debut album "Lightspeed" last year on Sony Music: I think it was just a so and so record, and I'm expecting much more from the sophomore one.

beta wolf

Beta Wolf raised from the ashes of Orange County rock group Takota. After the band broke up, 3 of the members, Grant Arnow, Danny Roddy and Brett Anderson joined Sergio Rueles and Drew Langan to create Beta Wolf.

Beta Wolf have recorded a full-length album, "Dark Days", that will be released on October, 19 on JVC - Victor Music Japan. Clicking on the left, you can watch the video for the first single off the record, titled "Believe In Love" (not the most original title...). Enjoy.
