The Bigger Lights sono il classico esempio di band che al primo ascolto paiono la "new sensation", ma già dopo pochi ascolti ti accorgi di quanto le loro canzoni siano esageratamente adolescenziali, stucchevoli e prive di effettiva sostanza.[preview]
Il power pop allegro proposto da questi cinque giovani musicisti è banale e semplicistico anche se, ad essere onesti, qualche ritornello l'avrebbero anche azzeccato.
Giovani, abbiamo detto, ma non più degli adolescenti: questo ci porta inevitabilmente ad essere meno indulgenti nel giudicarli. Speriamo che nonostante tutto rimangano dei margini di crescita e che i nostri riescano a trovare la giusta combinazione tra teen pop e un sound più maturo.
