Parmalee - 27861

Parmalee released their highly-anticipated sophomore album 27861, the zip code of its hometown of Parmele, NC (a town of roughly 300 people) last Friday, July 21, via Stoney Creek Records.

Produced by Tommy Cecil, 27861 opens with current single Sunday Morning which I already featured here.

27861 includes summer-ready heartland tracks laden with giant hooks like American Nights, Back In The Game and Like a Photograph;  lead singer Matt Thomas co-wrote nine of the album’s twelve tracks, while the project also enlists help of songwriting heavyweights including busbee, Hillary Lindsey and Ross Copperman among many others.

27861 is the perfect album for this season and for all lovers of catchy, feel-good, pop-rock songs: stream it now on Spotify.

Parmalee - Sunday Morning

Do you remember my post about Parmalee from a while ago? The Country/Rock act from Greenville, North Carolina is back with its highly anticipated new single, Sunday Morning, giving fans a taste of the band's upcoming sophomore album.
Co-written by Parmalee lead singer Matt Thomas (alongside Grammy-nominated Ross Copperman and #1 songwriter Josh Osborne), Sunday Morning marks a fresh, modern melody intertwined with Parmalee's signature hard-living Country sound.

"The song is about getting back to that one person who makes you feel easy... the one that brings the crazy down a notch. It's kinda like waking up on a calm Sunday morning," explains Matt Thomas.

Parmalee - Feels Like Carolina

"Feels Like Carolina" is the major label debut album by Parmalee, an American country-rock group consisting of brothers Matt Thomas (lead vocals, guitar) and Scott Thomas (drums), along with their cousin Barry Knox (bass) and Josh McSwain (guitar), who is a best friend since childhood.

"Feels Like Carolina" was released last Tuesday via Stoney Creek Records, a division of Broken Bow Records (RED Distribution) and features twelve songs, including the singles "Musta Had A Good Time" and "Carolina", the latter being a song first released five years ago, that spent 38 weeks creeping up Billboard's Country Airplay chart before finally hitting the top 10 on Nov. 9 -the longest such climb by a duo or group in the chart's 24-year history.
