One of my favourite alternative pop rock band, Night Argent from Pasco, WA, will release their sophomore EP, The Fear, on July 14 via Outerloop Records.

The Fear EP was written and produced by Night Argent, with additional production by John Feldmann (All Time Low, blink-182, Good Charlotte) and Steven Solomon (Sleeping Wolf, Arrows To Athens, Demi Lovato), and mixed and mastered by Brook Floyd at Rainmaker Studios in Pasco.

The EP includes 6 tracks that "showcase the band's diverse, powerful and anthemic sound, which will appeal to fans of arena-friendly alternative rock" according to the press release.

The first single off The Fear is called Dreamcatcher, "the first song we knew without a doubt would be on this record" said band's frontman Chase Manhattan, adding "The message behind the song set the tone for everything we recorded from that point on. It definitely echoes the intensity and energy we felt in the studio while working with John and his team. This record is our war cry. It's a call to the battered, the broken and the tired to rise up and set fire to the fear."

I posted one year ago about Night Argent, the band raised from the ashes of excellent alternative pop rockers Goodnight ARgent.

As I reported earlier, the only surviving member from that band, vocalist Chase Manhattan, regrouped with four new members and released the "new" debut single, Nothing More Beautiful, on January last year.

After the second single Comet (Light It Up), released last summer, it's now the time of another awesome song, Widowmaker: stream it now clicking on the image.

Widowmaker comes as an appetizer for the self-titled debut EP, that will hit the shelves next April.

The band announced the release with these words: "Friends! After spending the past year writing, recording, and touring, we are so excited to announce the release date of our self-produced debut EP! It's amazing to think about how much has happened since we started this journey, and how much our family has grown in such a short period of time. You guys have been so amazingly supportive, and on April 22nd, 2016 we can finally share the music that has been such a big part of our lives with all of you."

You may or may not remember the brilliant alternative pop-rock band Goodnight ARgent: I praised their great "Ignorance Is Paradise" EP a few years ago, then, for some reasons, the Pasco, WA, act disappeared from my radar.

I'm happy to report that the band is still alive, even if the only surviving member from those days is vocalist Chase Manhattan.

Chase (slightly) changed the name of the group in Night Argent and is now backed up by Jeff Stachofsky (guitar), Shane Santanna (keyboards), Evan Taylor (bass) and Zac Burrell (drums).

Night Argent released their debut single a few weeks ago: titled "Nothing More Beautiful", it's an awesome anthemic pop-rock number that will please fans of OneRepublic, Coldplay and Imagine Dragons. Watch the independently filmed video for "Nothing More Beautiful" clicking on the image above.
