BIG STORY from Dallas Thursday, 7 March 2019 20:55 by madseason
Big Story - Losing Sleep

Big Story is a very promising Alternative Rock band from Dallas, Texas.

After having completed production on a collection of songs (produced by Matt Noveskey of the platinum selling rock band, Blue October), Big Story induced an early buzz by landing the opening slot on Seether's "Poison The Parish" tour during the summer of 2017. With newly acquired management, Rainmaker Artists (Blue October, Bowling For Soup) at the helm, Big Story showcased for renowned rock label, Razor & Tie (Starset, The Pretty Reckless, Red Sun Rising) while on tour. That showcase performance ultimately inspired the band's signing with Razor & Tie/Fearless Records (Underoath, At the Drive-in, I Prevail, Portugal the Man), and paved the way for the completion of their debut, full length album, BEAZT with illustrious producer, David Bendeth (Paramore, Bring Me The Horizon, Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach).

BEAZT will se the light of day next June 7. Meanwhile the band released the first single from the album, Daydream (watch the official  music video here), and, just a couple of weeks ago, the brand new single, and great track overall, Losing Sleep.

CAVO: building new Bridges Friday, 8 January 2016 00:51 by madseason
Cavo - Bridges

New music from Cavo, at last. The St. Louis, Missouri, rockers have a brand new album to be released on January 29. It's titled Bridges  and was co-funded by a succesful PledgeMusic campaign; it was recorded in Austin, Texas with bass guitarist of Blue October, Matt Noveskey.

Bridges will be out 4 years after the release of Cavo's latest studio album Thick As Thieves. As vocalist Casey Walker likes to tell it, at the time "there just wasn't anything left to give." The band had tried everything, so they decided to stop. But then something happened a while later. The want slowly started creeping back in.

But this time something had changed. For once, it wasn't about what someone else wanted. It was only about the four of them and what they wanted. No label, no producer, no agent, no manager, no one but them. "This record is completely ours," Walker adds. "If other people like it, great. If they don't, that's fine too."

They decided to call it Bridges, because they felt like they had crossed over to someplace new. A place where Cavo could just… be.

IAMDYNAMITE - Wasa Tusa

Michigan-based duo IAMDYNAMITE (Chris Martin aka C-Mart and Chris Phillips aka C²) are back with their indie/synth wave/pop '80s-influenced sound. Wasa Tusa is the title of their sophomore release, delivered last week via Brando Records.

The new record was produced by Blue October's bass player Matt Noveskey –who also produced the band’s debut record SUPERMEGAFANTASTIC– and, in the words of Chris Martin, is "our first record where the recording was the art form, while our first record was more of a documentation of our live show."

Wasa Tusa is on Spotify, so you can stream the whole album, featuring the "sunny" lead single In The Summer, just clicking here.

IAMDYNAMITE in Stereo Friday, 9 March 2012 00:05 by madseason
iamdynamite

American indie/garage-rock duo IAMDYNAMITE (Chris Martin aka C-Mart and Chris Phillips aka C²) will release its debut album "SUPERMEGAFANTASTIC" on June 5th, via Brando Records in USA, while a German release is expected for today through Neo - Kanoon Records (with distribution by Sony Music).

IAMDYNAMITE are managed by Blue October's bass player Matt Noveskey, who also produced the album, with Jay Ruston (Bowling For Soup, Metallica, Jars Of Clay, Meat Loaf) mixing it.   The duo's style is quite unique: just guitars and drums with an indie raw approach, groovy hooks and somewhat of a western movie soundtrack feel.

IAMDYNAMITE's just released a video for the single "Stereo": watch it now by clicking on the image above.
Also, from March 22nd to 31st, Martin and Chris will play 8 headline shows in Germany, where they already performed last year supporting Blue October. Find out the details of the dates here.
