Little Hurt - I Can Do Better Than You

Alt.Pop artist Little Hurt (Colin Dieden, former lead singer of The Mowglis) has released his new album Lovely Hours, out now on Century Family.

Today, he is sharing the high energy, bursting with color video for I Can Do Better Than You. The zesty & spirited clip features Dieden and his band cutting loose, jumping around, having fun, and letting themselves be taken away by the song.
The empowering track, which is a defiant take on ending a bad relationship and moving on to something better – features an addicting snyth line throughout, which pop-punk guitars and crisp drums.

Dieden says "Sometimes writing songs feels like a regular job, but the upbeat energy of I Can Do Better Than You flowed from the start. There is something truly cathartic about just putting yourself into a song and letting it fly."

He continues "When we were talking about this video we went through a few different concepts but ultimately we landed on the idea that we wanted it to just be pure energy. We wanted people to have fun watching it, and feel good. Not have to overthink it, just be in the moment."

The video was directed by Kyle Vorbach, who has worked with the Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, DJ Khaled, and Jagwar Twin. In talking about the concept of the video, Vorbach says "Colin called me in the middle of the night and said he had the idea for I Can Do Better Than You figured out. He said 'color and energy.' So, we did just that - we shot in a location in LA where the ceiling is entirely comprised of colored LED panels, and in post-production we saturated every shot as much as is physically possible. The end result is some visuals that are as arresting as the song is."

The Lovely Hours album has been 2 years in the making and includes the singles Buttercup (Featuring The Ready Set), Cooler If U Did, Get Out Of My Life, Pineapple Pizza  and See You Again.

Summer tour dates are currently in the works to support the Lovely Hours LP.

Little Hurt - Every Second

Following up on his breakout 2020, Little Hurt (aka Colin Dieden, formerly of The Mowglis) has used his time during the long Covid quarantine to full effect. The resulting recordings are now available on his just released first EP Every Second.

The new focus track from the release is a deeply personal song titled Messed Up: "I wrote this song because I wanted to talk about some things I'd never spoken about in my music before, in particular how my parent's divorce affected me." said  Colin "And why I've struggled with love, and with myself. I keep thinking things will be clearer as I get older but that just never happens. As much wisdom as you gain from your experiences, life constantly throws new challenges and there's really no way to ever be prepared. I guess we keep hoping that things will be permanent and it takes a lifetime to realize that just doesn't happen - you have to get used to things being in flux or it will drive you crazy".

Every Second is now available to stream and download on digital music platforms worldwide. Check it out clicking on the image.

Little Hurt - My Head Hurts

2020 has been a year of trials and tribulations. So many things have impacted us all: Covid-19, a crashing economy, political turmoil, and overall stress and strife. So it's fitting that as this year winds down, Little Hurt sums up this angsty time period with a banger we can all sing along, move and get our collective frustrations out to, My Head Hurts. The song is now available world-wide and will be included on a new EP Every Second slated for release on January 29th, 2021.

With a sing-along chorus and blazing guitars atop a background of a bouncing, infectious rhythm Little Hurt's Colin Dieden (The Mowgli's) explains "I wrote 'My Head Hurts' kind of out of necessity. This has been an incredibly tough year - for everyone. And I'm no exception. So many life changing events took place for me in such a short period of time and there were moments where I felt kind of hopeless". He continues "I really just needed to yell into a microphone and play my guitar really loud and that's what I did. I think anyone hearing this song will be able to apply it to whatever is happening in their own lives and even the state of the world."
