Gordi - Bitter End (360 Version)

Gordi is the stage name of Australian indie-pop/folktronica artist and songwriter Sophie Payten. She hails from small town Canowindra, (population 2,381) in the central northwest of New South Wales, and is based out of Sydney, Australia, where she currently resides.

Gordi began receiving both national and international attention after playing independently across Sydney whilst at University, and releasing tracks online through government-funded national Australian radio station Triple J's project Unearthed. With an electro-organic pop sound recalling Bon Iver and Beth Orton, her music career quickly began to show some promise. On the basis of singles like the sweeping Can We Work It Out and a unique reframing of Courtney Barnett's Avant Gardener, she signed a deal with Jagjaguwar in the United States in February 2016 and Liberation Music in Australia in April 2016.

Gordi released her debut EP Clever Disguise in May 2016, followed by her first full-length album, Reservoir, that dropped last Friday, August 25.

Reservoir is a brilliant record for lovers of contemporary radio-friendly songs that doesn't sound too predictable. Take as example the singles Heaven I Know, On My Side and Bitter End (watch the 360° version video for this last one clicking on the image).
