CHARMING LIARS: Bare Bones lunedì, 12 agosto 2019 21:09 by madseason
Charming Liars - Insomnia (Acoustic)

Los Angeles alternative band Charming Liars are continuing their breakout year in 2019 with the release of a 4-track acoustic EP, Bare Bones and a run of West Coast headlining dates. The band will return to Europe in August for a tour with The Faim and then head back to the states for an extended run as direct support for Angels & Airwaves (here you can find all upcoming dates).

About Bare Bones Karnig Manoukian, guitar player and producer, says: "The songwriting process has always been an integral part of our music creation and laying out these songs in this simpler, more organic form allows the song, lyrics and melodies to really shine. This is something that we will definitely continue to do in the future and is something that really excites us. It brings us back to these songs that we lived with for months and allows us to rejuvenate and recreate."

CHARMING LIARS complete Spoon video trilogy venerdì, 8 febbraio 2019 21:24 by madseason
Charming Liars - Time To Start

Los Angeles alternative band Charming Liars are ramping up for the release of their new Thought, Flesh And Bone album on March 1, with new single and video Time To Start.

Frontman Kiliyan Maguire says: "While Time to Start ushers in our new LP Thought, Flesh And Bone, it also serves as the final installment to our video trilogy Spoon which was filmed on location in New Orleans. At its root Time To Start grows from the same strange water that feeds any new beginning. It's a highway ghost story about the phantoms that follow when you refuse to bury your past or your past self".

The Spoon trilogy includes previously released videos Like A Drug and Insomnia. The short film that makes up all 3 videos, directed by critically acclaimed Phillip Lopez, has been submitted for Short form consideration at several high profile film festivals, including Sundance 2019.

Something Dark comes from CHARMING LIARS martedì, 25 settembre 2018 21:57 by madseason
Charming Liars - Something Dark

With the release of sultry new single Something Dark through Chartmaker Inc/TAC, Los Angeles alternative band Charming Liars are continuing their growth and expanding their reach across the US and beyond. The song has been added to Spotify's New Noise Playlist out of the box and is making early inroads at Alternative Radio. After a recent two-month stint of sold-out shows with Dorothy, a fall tour with Welshly Arms and Glorious Sons will continue the band's break-out year in 2018.

Frontman Kiliyan Maguire says: "At its core, Something Dark depicts the painful aftermath brought on by years of unchecked power and how trust in the wrong hands can betray even the ultimate innocence. In this song we find an unnamed darkness with a row of eyes staring blindly into it. We find also find our survivor. These lyrics serve as a reminder that vigilance and awareness are just words and mean nothing without action. This was the final song written for our upcoming album Thought Flesh And Bone that we will be releasing in late January 2019".
