SUNSET SONS are back with The River Friday, 17 August 2018 21:00 by madseason
Sunset Sons - The River EP

After a two-year hiatus, French based British/Australian indie rockers Sunset Sons are back with The River EP.

Produced by Grammy nominated and MPG Producer of the Year, Catherine Marks (Foals, The Killers, Wolf Alice), The River EP was released last July 27 on LAB Records and consists of 4 brand new songs.

Now a three-piece band, after guitarist Robin Windram left the band to concentrate on his family, Sunset Sons show their growth hasn't shown signs of slowing, as The River is a tight and strong EP: established fans of the band will love it, and I guess new ones will join the party.

Fairchild - So Long And Thank You

Fairchild are an amazing indie pop/synth rock band from the beautiful Gold Coast, Queensland (Australia).

Last week, on August 4, Fairchild released their debut full-length album So Long And Thank You, via their own label, Canvas Sounds. It was produced and mixed by Catherine Marks (The Killers, Foals, Wolf Alice).

The leading single off the album is the title-track. Guitarist Tim Voeten, talking about it, said: "So Long And Thank You was written in different sections, by different members of the band, but with the same person in mind—my father. When I hear this song, of course I think about my Dad, but I also remember that it helped cement in me my love for making music with these people."  Watch the video clicking on the image.

A SILENT FILM about Sand & Snow Saturday, 4 August 2012 23:59 by madseason
A Silent Film

One of the best album of the year so far is "Sand & Snow", the sophomore offering by Oxford, UK outfit A Silent Film, released last June via Creative Media Investments.

Produced by the band and mixed by Catherine Marks (Placebo, Interpol, White Lies) with Alan Moulder (Depeche Mode, The Killers, Lostprophets, Foo Fighters and many more), "Sand & Snow" features a charming sound that combines elements of Keane, Snow Patrol and The Killers.
