Talking about happiness: THE WIND + THE WAVE venerdì, 25 novembre 2016 15:36 by madseason
The Wind + The Wave - Grand Canyon

It's time to cover this very special act, The Wind + The Wave, featuring ex-Soldier Thread singer Patricia Lynn and her music partner, Dwight Baker: Dwight worked both in front of the microphone as well as in the recording studio for Alpha Rev, Brandi Carlile, Blue October and Bob Schneider. In addition, Baker has also written music for Kelly Clarkson, and is the owner/operator of Matchbox Studios in Austin.

The duo released last October 28 their sophomore album, Happiness Is Not A Place, their first full-length on Island Records and followup to 2014's critically acclaimed LP From The Wreckage (RCA Records).
The new album from this indie folk rock/alternative country with southern vibes duo is "rawer and rougher" than its predecessor, explains Baker, and it "sounds reckless with a rock and roll spirit and attitude."

The album was produced by Butch Walker (Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Pink, Weezer to name a few), and the result is the sound of a band that has stretched itself and grown. The duo sonic palette is nervier, thanks to the album being recorded live by Butch. Lynn manages to dig even deeper with her lyrics, exploring her feelings about marriage, commitment, and family, while acknowledging her own frantic mind. "Happiness is a journey, not a destination" says Patty about the main theme of the album. "You're constantly making an effort to be a better person and that's what makes you happy or content with your life."

East Coast Girls for BUTCH WALKER venerdì, 10 giugno 2016 14:19 by madseason
Butch Walker - East Coast Girl (Lyric)

American songwriter, record producer, cult hero and personal favourite Butch Walker will release a brand new album next August 26 called Stay Gold.
Straight from Butch's mouth: "I'm really enjoying listening to this record LOUD. I don't know. The last record was a lot of songs about the death of my Father and it was a beautiful process to go through. But coming out of that, and into a feeling of almost "celebration", I felt the need to write it and record it. It's a drunken trip down memory lane for sure."

The first song off the album is East Coast Girl, an awesome, catchy rock track with 80's/New Jersey vibes all over it. Watch the "hot" lyric video now clicking on the image, a preview of Stay Gold here and a live acoustic rendition of the title-track here.

Butch Walker - Bed On Fire

As reported a couple of months ago, American rock artist, songwriter, record producer and personal favourite Butch Walker will release his new solo album "Afraid Of Ghosts" on February 3, 2015 on Dangerbird Records in the US and Lojinx in the UK/Europe.

The album was produced by Butch's friend Ryan Adams and sees the collaboration of their buddies Johnny Depp and Bob Mould of Hüsker Dü.

After the first single "Chrissie Hynde" and the title-track "Afraid Of Ghosts", it's now the time to preview another new track from the upcoming album, the amazing and passionate "Bed On Fire". LA based Polish photographer/director Magdalena Wosinska and Snake shot a suggestive video for this song starring some of Butch's motorcycle buds and his son, Jamie Blue. The video was filmed in Joshua Tree, California and you can watch it now clicking on the image above.

Butch Walker - Chrissie Hynde

American rock artist, songwriter, record producer and personal favourite Butch Walker will release his new solo album "Afraid Of Ghosts" on February 3, 2015 on Dangerbird Records in the US and Lojinx in the UK/Europe.

Butch spent a year writing it and 4 days recording it. His friend Ryan Adams produced it at his Pax Am studios and some of their buddies (Johnny Depp, Mike Viola, Bob Mould of Hüsker Dü and others) lent some vocals and instrumental work "all live. All to an old tape machine. No computers. No fixes. Just music." said Walker, that added: "here's to coming to terms with your ghosts, taking what scares you the most... And turning it into something real."

Coming Home: new video for BUTCH WALKER lunedì, 11 novembre 2013 21:41 by madseason
butch walker - coming home

It's not a secret that Butch Walker is one of our favorite artists here at weChameleon: that's why I like to post about him whenever there's something new and interesting.

This time we have the premiere of his new music video; it's for the song "Coming Home", off his recent "Peachtree Battle" EP, release last September.

"It's a really beautiful story and really hits close to home, as it was shot just 2 days after my Father's passing" said Butch. Click on the image and enjoy this amazing video.

Butch Walker - Coming Home

"Peachtree Battle" is the title of Butch Walker's upcoming new EP: the digital release is set for September 17, while the vinyl pressing will be available starting October 22.

"I finally finished my new recordings and it's coming out. "Peachtree Battle" is the name of the new record and i couldn't be more proud of it. I decided, due to my father's rapidly declining health to make this an EP, because i really wanted him to hear it before he left. His timing (being always punctual, if not early sometimes) left me with a collection of songs that are very near and dear to my heart. He woulda been proud, I think" wrote Butch on Facebook.

Panic! At The Disco - Miss Jackson ft. Lolo

Las Vegas alternative poprockers Panic! At The Disco will release their fourth studio album "Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!" on October 8, 2013 via Decaydance/Fueled By Ramen.
The new record, once again produced by Butch Walker, is the follow-up to 2011's "Vices & Virtues" and will be supported with an extensive US and European tour this Fall.

The first single off "Too Weird..." is "Miss Jackson": watch the Jordan Bahat-directed video clicking on the image on the left.

Lit

Lit will release "The View From The Bottom", their first new album in eight years, on June 19th through Megaforce Records. "The View..." is produced by Butch Walker and is going to be Lit's first recording with Nathan Walker on drums, replacing the late Allen Shellenberger, who died from cancer in 2009, as well as their first with guitarist Ryan Gillmor, making it the first time the band has recorded as a five-piece

The first song that Lit unleashed from the new record is "Same Shit, Different Drink": "A.J. and I wrote that one with Butch," guitarist Jeremy Popoff tells Rolling Stone. "We kind of got on this little train of throwing out names of cocktails; we wanted a drinking song that would be a cool party anthem." Download this track for free heading on to the band's website.
