I'm a little late on this, but better late than never, expecially when we're talking of quality music. New York City synth-driven indie pop rock band Born Cages have a new EP out. it's called Exit Signs In A Burning Building and was released last April 7 on Washington Square/Razor & Tie Records.
The mini-album was produced by frontman Vlad Holiday with assistance from Justin Gerrish (Vampire Weekend, Katie Herzig, The Strokes) and mastering engineer Emily Lazar (Foo Fighters, Sia, The Killers).

With Exit Signs... we're talking of a great synth pop EP that mixes Walk The Moon, Arcade Fire and The Killers, with strong songwriting and introspective lyrics: 7 catchy yet non-shallow songs that you will like the first time and love after repeated listenings.

I featured American alternative rock band Born Cages a couple of times before: the NYC-based trio released an amazing EP in 2013, The Sidelines, and now is the time of the full-length debut, that dropped last June 2 via Washington Square/Razor & Tie Records.

Titled I'm Glad I'm Not Me, the LP was produced by Jon Kaplan (Walk The Moon, Arctic Monkeys, Parachute), who also took care of The Sidelines, and features the singles Don't Look Back, Rolling Down The Hill (watch the official video clicking on the image) and I Just Want The Truth, Baby, that you can catch live from this year's Sony Sound Session at SXSW here.

I like to consider this band a mix of Walk The Moon and The Killers; so if you want a healthy dose of 80s-style synth pop-rock with a modern sound, good for radio airplay as for arena live shows, then Born Cages are the perfect choice.
