PALAYE ROYALE: rock'n'roll is alive and well! mercoledì, 29 giugno 2016 21:30 by madseason
Palaye Royale - Mr. Doctor Man

This is a great new find for me: I'm talking of Los Angeles rock band Palaye Royale, which released their Sumerian Records debut Boom Boom Room (Side A) last friday, June 24.

Palaye Royale have roots in Toronto, ON, and were formed in 2008 by brothers Remington Leith (frontman), Sebastian Danzig (guitarist/organist) and Emerson Barrett (drums).

Boom Boom Room (Side A) was produced by James Iha (The Smashing Pumpkins, A Perfet Circle) and features the leading single Mr. Doctor Man (check the official video cliking on the image) and the previous one, also opener of the album, Don't Feel Quite Right.

Boom Boom Room's a great record of rock'n'roll mixing the best the genre had to offer in the 70's, the 80's and the early 90's: think of the bastard child of the American act Junkyard and the British outfit Quireboys. BBR's chock-full of amazing, entertaining and moving songs. Stream the whole album on Spotify and judge by yourselves.

You can check Palaye Royale live (their real dimension!) on their summer-long stint on the 2016 Vans Warped Tour, that started a few days ago and will run through August 13.
