Circa Survive - Schema

Philadelphia post-hardcore/progressive/experimental rock Circa Survive released their fifth studio album "Descensus" yesterday through their new label home Sumerian Records. "Descensus" was recorded in mid April at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, PA with producer/engineer Will Yip (Polar Bear Club, CKY, Arctic Monkeys). The album art was once again made by Esao Andrews: click on the image to watch it in all its brilliance.

In an Alternative Press interview published in August 2014, lead vocalist Anthony Green said: "It's definitely the most aggressive Circa record we've ever made. It's the first record of ours I've been able to listen to front to back without having that song that I'm like, 'Yeah, I could've done better here.' Every song has this moment in it that makes me feel ridiculous. I feel like I just outdid myself. I feel like we did better than we did before."
