During this holiday season I had the chance to listen to some albums that, for one reason or another, didn't catch my proper attention at the time of their release.
It's the cause of this awesome new album from Leagues, a Nashville duo consisting in Thad Cockrell and Jeremy Lutito, that plays a pulsing brand of indie popo rock with dance beats that may appeal to fans of Foster The People, Broken Bells, Passion Pit and, why not, Scissor Sisters.
Leagues debuted in 2013 with the indie standout You Belong Here, which garnered a rabid fan base behind the breakout alternative and AAA singles Spotlight and Walking Backwards; the latter appearing during a pivotal scene on the first season of blockbuster Netflix original, Orange Is The New Black.
Leagues' second full-length album Alone Together was entirely produced by Jeremy Lutito and was released on September 9, 2016 on Dualtone Records. Alone Together captures a creative duo egging each other on to ever-greater heights. Stream the whole album on SoundCloud and let me know what you think about it.
