Acceptance - Fire And Rain

As I posted last year, Acceptance, the Seattle-based alternative pop-rockers which released their first full length album, Phantoms, 11 years ago on Columbia Records, reunited after a ten year hiatus to work on brand new music.

Acceptance took money from the shows they were playing and invested it into self-funding their sophomore record; then they booked the top-producer Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, Kutless, Number One Gun) and started writing songs; as those funds started to get low, the band partnered with PledgeMusic and people pre-ordering the record helped them finish it.

Colliding By Design was finally released last February 24 via Rise Records. After all this year, the sound of Acceptance is surely matured; the songs show a more polished songwriting, more depth, smooth refrains and some (mandatory, in these days) 80's influences.

A few single/videos were lifted off the new album: Diagram Of A Simple Man (watch an amazing acoustic performance of the song here) , Haunted and the new one, Fire And Rain: watch the just released video clicking on the image, and, as ususal, stream the whole record on Spotify.

NINE LASHES breaking the world with new album domenica, 16 febbraio 2014 01:06 by madseason
Nine Lashes - From Water To War

"From Water To War" is the second album from Birmingham, Alabama rock band Nine Lashes; it was produced by Jasen Rauch (Red, Breaking Benjamin, Pillar) and Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, Jeremy Camp, Falling Up) and released last month via Tooth & Nail Records.

"From Water To War" is a strong album of alternative rock with electronic influences. In an interview with CCM Magazine, vocalist Jeremy Dunn stated: "We really pushed ourselves to add to our sound with this album. We really wanted to take the digital aspect of our sound from the last album and expand upon it. I think we ended up with a really well-rounded album."

AARON SPRINKLE new solo album "Water & Guns" giovedì, 3 ottobre 2013 21:40 by madseason
Aaron Sprinkle - Water & Guns

Aaron Sprinkle, producer for Anberlin, Mae, Eisley, Number One Gun, Jeremy Camp, Falling Up, Kutless, Icon For Hire and many more, released his new solo record "Water & Guns" a couple of days ago through Tooth & Nails Records.

"Water & Guns" comes three years after "Disappearing World", the second album by the Aaron-led band Fair, looking like his natural sequel.

Watch the lyric video for the new song "Can't Last Forever" following this link.

Anberlin's new studio album, "Vital", will be released on October 16 for Universal Republic Records.

The new record was produced by Aaron Sprinkle, who also produced the first three albums of the Floridian rockers, and shows a slightly different, electronic tinged sound. "When we started writing this record, I think we all kind of knew we had to change and really step out of our box and change it up," drummer Nathan Young told Billboard a couple of days ago. "We're a rock band, but we've got to progress with a sixth album. We wanted to keep it to that rock thing but just change it up."

ICON FOR HIRE: making big moves martedì, 5 luglio 2011 01:12 by madseason
Promising female fronted band Icon For Hire, from Decatur, IL, has recently signed a deal with Tooth & Nail Records. "We are thrilled to be joining such an established and well-respected group at Tooth & Nail," shares the band upon their signing.

"It's a label that has a history of consistently putting out good music and really working side by side with their artists. Because we've been doing this thing on our own for over two years, it feels great to partner with Tooth & Nail."

Icon For Hire worked in the studios with famed producer Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, Mae, Eisley, Jeremy Camp, Falling Up, Kutless) to formulate their sound of combining heavy, rock-oriented sounds and modern pop elements with a strong focus on the production.

The album, titled "Scripted", is set to be released on August, 23. Meanwhile, you can check out they're new single "Make A Move" on their myspace page.

EVERY AVENUE's Bad Habits sabato, 11 giugno 2011 14:50 by madseason
every avenue bad habits

Powerpop rockers Every Avenue (from Marysville, Michigan) will be releasing their third full length album "Bad Habits" on August, 2nd.

The follow up to "Picture Perfect" has been produced by Aaron Sprinkle (Fair, Anberlin, Falling Up, Jeremy Camp, Kutless) and Mark Weinberg (Matt Nathanson, Ari Hest, O.A.R.) and will be out through Fearless Records.

Said to be rockier than the previous works, "Bad Habits" is the record that, according to the band's words, they really wanted to make.

It's going to be presented live this summer, as Every Avenue will be on the road for the entire 2011 Vans Warped Tour. See dates on their facebook page.
