EVERY AVENUE's Bad Habits sabato, 11 giugno 2011 14:50 by madseason
every avenue bad habits

Powerpop rockers Every Avenue (from Marysville, Michigan) will be releasing their third full length album "Bad Habits" on August, 2nd.

The follow up to "Picture Perfect" has been produced by Aaron Sprinkle (Fair, Anberlin, Falling Up, Jeremy Camp, Kutless) and Mark Weinberg (Matt Nathanson, Ari Hest, O.A.R.) and will be out through Fearless Records.

Said to be rockier than the previous works, "Bad Habits" is the record that, according to the band's words, they really wanted to make.

It's going to be presented live this summer, as Every Avenue will be on the road for the entire 2011 Vans Warped Tour. See dates on their facebook page.

Stay with BLUE OCTOBER venerdì, 10 giugno 2011 17:58 by madseason

Busy months on the Blue October's camp: the acoustic tour, the acoustic album, "The Chills" -the first single from the upcoming new studio album- and now this clip!

The video you can watch on the left is for the new song "The Feel Again (Stay)" and has been directed by Austin filmmaker Merritt Fields. It's very simple, but, thanks to vocalist Justin's lyrics and interpretation, very haunting and evocative.

This is a stunning, emotional track that sends shivers down my spine. Chapeau!

"The Feel Again (Stay)" will appear on Blue October's new album "Any Man In America", out on August 16 on Up/Down Records.

fountains of wayne sky full of holes

As reported one month ago, Fountains Of Wayne have a new studio album to be released on August, 2nd on Yep Roc Records.

It's called "Sky Full Of Holes" and now we can present you its cover art (click on the image to enlarge).

Also, SPIN Magazine included "Sky..." as part of their "24 Summer Albums That Matter Most" list: another good reason to catch it as soon as it will be available.

We can also link you to the youtube page where you can listen to the great first single off the new record, titled "Someone's Gonna Break Your Heart" (yes, not the most original title).

Fountains Of Wayne will be touring in the USA this summer, while it's rumoured that the band will travel to Europe in November (not just for a holiday, I hope!).

HURRICANE BELLS' PledgeMusic campaign lunedì, 6 giugno 2011 12:26 by madseason
Hurricane Bells

Steve Schiltz, the mainman of indie rock band Hurricane Bells, produced, recorded and mixed a new album named "Tides and Tales" with the help of some guests, as Justin Furstenfeld from Blue October. The record will be coming out on Steve's label, Invisible Brigades, in the fall.

To help with the release of the record, Steve has just launched a PledgeMusic campaign: fans pledges will directly help the band master and manufacture the new album and, more importantly, it will help Hurricane Bells tour and promote the record. In return, those who join the campaign will have the chance to get exclusive stuff: vinyls, shirts, signed discs, house concerts, album prints/posters and so on.

So, if you want to help Steve & friends, visit their PledgeMusic page and make your pledge!
