I already talked about Newsboys' brilliant new album "God's Not Dead", released last November on Inpop Records.

This is the video for "Bones", second single and titletrack for Young Guns' sophomore record, to be released on February 6th through Play It Again Sam - [PIAS] Entertainment Group.

The album was recorded at Karma Sound Studios in Thailand with former SikTh guitarist Dan Weller, who also provided mix engineering.

"Port Of Morrow" is the upcoming fourth studio album by The Shins, scheduled to be released on March 20th, 2012. Recorded in Los Angeles and Portland with producer Greg Kurstin, it will be the first album by the band to be released through frontman James Mercer's new record label Aural Apothecary, as well as their first album to be distributed by Columbia Records. It is also the band's first studio album in 5 years, following the release of 2007's "Wincing The Night Away".

For those who don't know, Mercer is also involved with producer and multi-instrumentalist Brian Burton (aka Danger Mouse) in the band Broken Bells that released a great indie rock album two years ago for Columbia.

Today Death Cab For Cutie premiered their video for "Underneath The Sycamore", the latest single from "Codes And Keys".

The animated clip, directed by Walter Robot - Bill Barminski and Christopher Louie, the artists also behind the band’s 2009 video for "Grapevine Fires" - follows a private eye as he searches for a missing woman. Check out the film noir inspired video clicking on the frame on the left.

In other DCFC related news, the band was nominated for a Grammy this year in the category for "Best Alternative Music Album" with their album "Codes And Keys". Congratulations.

Almost a month ago I talked to you about Ghost Beach, the new project by Josh Ocean and Eric "Doc" Mendelsohn, respectively vocalist and guitar player of modern new wave band from New York City TV/TV.

Ray Wilson is a Scottish musician, best known as vocalist in the post-grunge band Stiltskin (do you remember their 1994's hit "Inside"?), and in Genesis between 1996 and 1998 ("Calling All Stations" period). In 2006 Ray resurrected the Stiltskin's moniker and released a quite good album titled "She".

In 2010, Wilson began to work on a successor to "She" with Uwe Metzler and Peter Hoff: the new album was released in September 2011 with the title "Unfulfillment" and is one of the nicest surprises of last year, because of the richness of the sound, the quality of the songs and the intensity of Ray's interpretation.

Welsh alternative rock band Lostprophets will release the new album "Weapons" on April 2nd via Epic Records.

Produced by Ken Andrews, "Weapons" is the fifth studio album for the group, following the brilliant "The Betrayed", released two years ago.

The first single from the new record is titled "Better Off Dead" and is available for free download from the band's website or facebook page, after receiving its initial airing on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show this morning.
