train

Billboard.com reported yesterday that californian stars Train, though still on the road with Maroon 5 celebrating the success of their last record "Save Me, San Francisco", are about 75 or 80 percent done with writing the next album.

Frontman Pat Monahan tells Billboard that he and bandmates Scott Underwood and Jimmy Stafford will likely take a little break after Train comes off the road in mid-September and then start recording in November or December with Butch Walker (with whom they toured in 2010) at the production helm! The group hopes to have a new single out in February, with the album to follow in March or April.

HOWLING BELLS' Loudest Engine mercoledì, 10 agosto 2011 18:13 by madseason
howling bells

London-based australian indie rock band Howling Bells will release their third studio album "The Loudest Engine" on September 12th, 2011, through independent record label Cooking Vinyl.

Howling Bells' members started writing for the album while they were on the road supporting Coldplay in 2009. The band chose to allow the Killers' bassist Mark Stoermer to produce the album, which was his first experience as a record producer. They connected with him while they appeared as the opening act for his band on three separate occasions in 2006 and 2007.

The first single off the new record is titled "Into The Sky", and you can download it now from iTunes, where you can also listen to a snippet of the song. In addiction, you can download the titletrack of the new album for free at their website.

ANNIE AUTOMATIC and Miss McKenzie lunedì, 8 agosto 2011 00:07 by madseason
annie automatic

From the bio: "Founded in Los Angeles in 2009 by a "lover and lunatic" named French, and a crew of musicians and friends, Annie Autonatic started the ceremonial fire immediately with their EP "Fighting Chances" - started, finished, and made available within 90 days. In 2010 they released 3 singles. They also began working on a more in-depth, powerful album, "Don't Look Down", to be released August, 23."

French is influenced by everything from early Beatles and Motown to the trash of glamorous punks like Iggy Pop to even the pulsating electronic sounds of the underground clubscenes in LA, NY and Europe.

Get a taste of Annie Automatic's music listening to "Burn This Prison" and the just released "Miss McKenzie", the first two singles off "Don't Look Down", at the band's facebook pageFor further info you can also visit their official webpage at annieautomatic.com.

Let Me Rediscover DOWNHERE sabato, 6 agosto 2011 15:00 by madseason
downhere on the altar of love

I must admit I'm digging Downhere's new single a lot.

Sure, "Let Me Rediscover You" is a simple song, quite predictable and barely original, as it often happens with non-secular artists; but it's delivered with such a great passion it can't be overlooked.

"Let Me Rediscover You" (watch the video here) is the first single off Downhere new album "On The Altar Of Love", set to be released on August, 23rd through Centricity Music.

Find more about this canadian band at their website and at their facebook page, where you can also hear the titletrack of the new record (another great number!).

CALLING ALL CARS are Dancing With A Dead Man venerdì, 5 agosto 2011 21:12 by madseason
Calling All Cars

"Dancing With A Dead Man" is the follow-up to australian heavy rock band Calling All Cars' debut album "Hold, Hold, Fire".

Produced by Tom Larkin (Shihad, The Getaway Plan, Young and Restless) and mixed by Chris Sheldon (Gun, Feeder, Foo Fighters, Biffy Clyro, Skunk Anansie), the new album is out today via Shock Records.

"There’s definitely more of a cohesive theme running through it," says bassist Adam Montgomery about the new work. "It's not a concept record at all, but it's got a similar feel running through it, which is exactly what we wanted."

Watch the video for the first single "Reptile" on YouTube and listen to the whole record on FasterLouder now.
