Collide with EDISUN! Tuesday, 1 September 2015 21:45 by madseason
Edisun - Collision

Collision is the second album from Norwalk-based alternative rockers Edisun.

Released last July 31 by the South Norwalk independent label SRG Records (with distribution by Universal Music Canada and Caroline Music Group), Collision was produced by Claude Villani and Charlie Drayton and mixed by Ron Saint Germain, Kenny Cash and John Shyloski.

It's an album that I can suggest to fans of active rock with an eighties vibe and to all the melodic arena-rock of fifteen years ago addicted.

Try before you buy corner: watch the official lyric video for the leading single Kill Me With Your Kiss, and stream the whole album on Spotify.

DEAD LETTER CIRCUS Aesthesis Sunday, 30 August 2015 17:25 by madseason
Dead Letter Circus - In Plain Sight

Even though they're quickly becoming an established act, there's still a lot of people not familiar with Brisbane (Australia) rock act Dead Letter Circus.

This is a band that you have absolutely to know if you like Alternative Rock in the modern Progressive way of The Mars Volta, Rishloo, Karnivool and similar eclectic and unpredictable outfits.

Dead Letter Circus have a brand new album out, their third full-length: it's titled Aesthesis and was released last August 14 on UNFD - The End Records. Produced by Forrester Savell and Matthew Bartlem, Aesthesis was mixed by no less than Chris Lord-Alge (Manic Street Preachers, Nickelback, Muse and many, many more high-profile acts).

Two singles has been released from the new LP so far, While You Wait and In Plain Sight, whose new official video can be watched clicking on the image above. Enjoy!

The Royal Concept - Smile EP

My loyal readers should already know The Royal Concept: the Swedish indie pop rockers released last friday their new EP Smile, again on Republic Records - Lava Music.

The 5-track EP features the new single Fashion and was produced in Los Angeles by Tony Hoffer.
Tony is an expert producer that has a great number of high-profile names in his carnet, including The Fratellis, Depeche Mode, The Kooks, Phoenix and Foster The People, so it's not strange that Smile recalls in a couple of songs Mark Foster's band.

If you're a sucker for modern, addictive, solar pop-rock with funk nuances, stream Smile on Spotify now.

Imperial State Electric - Honk Machine

New Politics - West End Kids

Vikings is the third full-length studio album by Danish alternative rock band New Politics, released last week via their new label DCD2 Records (an independent record label owned by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy and partners and formerly known as Decaydance Records).

Vikings includes the two singles Everywhere I Go (Kings & Queens), whose video features cameos by The Walking Dead's actress Christian Serratos, pro-skater Ben Hatchell and label-mate LOLO, and West End Kids, whose video is inspired by some of the band's favorite video games and guests appearances from Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Travie McCoy, LOLO & MAX (click on the image to watch it).

A fresh Glass of BETA STATE Tuesday, 18 August 2015 20:40 by madseason
Beta State - Glass [EP]

San Francisco rockers Beta State are independently releasing their new digital effort Glass [EP] today August 18.

The EP features 4 new songs, including the band latest single Left With The Pain.

The comment of the band about the new release: "Our sound has evolved into some new territory for the band. We experimented a lot with new textures and sounds, veering away from our older writing habits of jamming in a room in favor of sitting down and writing the best song first, then filling in the instruments later. It's something we learned working with Linkin Park, and that writing style seems to have really gelled between the bandmates. This has been some of the most rewarding songwriting we have ever done, and we are happy to share with you the result."
