American rockers from Seattle, WA,
The Classic Crime released their fourth album last month. Titled "
Phoenix", the record was funded through
Kickstarter (it was the ninth most funded musical project on this pledge platform) and is the first album released independently by the band who left Tooth & Nail Records last year.

Vocalist, guitar player and producer Matt MacDonald compared the styling of the songs to previous albums saying, "For those of you who prefer "Albatross", there are 3 songs you will gravitate to. For those of you who like "The Silver Cord", there are probably 5 songs you will gravitate to. For those of you who like when we stretch the boundaries a bit, there are another 4 tracks you'll probably be ecstatic about."
If you're into driving rockers, epic numbers, acoustic based songs, emotional singing, take a listen to "Phoenix" at The Classic Crime's bandcamp site, where you can stream -and buy- the whole album: enjoy one of the best melodic alt-rock work of the year.
