On October 12, 2012 Evermore will release the long awaited fourth studio album titled "Follow The Sun".

It arrives after a three year hiatus from the local scene, that took the band on a world tour with P!nk and then traverse the globe a second time to start the album writing process.

They built a full service studio on their farm property outside of Melbourne, and they recorded, wrote and produced a list of great music projects in that period. Amongst them was the new album for Evermore said to be the finest album of their career.

In the summer of 2011 Sons Of Bill entered Sound of Music Studios in Richmond VA, with producer David Lowery (Cracker, Camper Van Beethoven) to record their third full-length record "Sirens", released last March 26th 2012 on Gray Fox Records.

Balancing the line between rock and alternative country and garnering comparisons to Springsteen and REM's early records, it’s clear that the young band of brothers are diligent students of an older generation of rock and roll, as well as the traditional music of the Virginia region.

Let's hope "Sirens" is the record that brings Sons Of Bill the attention they so richly deserve.

The xx are an extremely interesting English moody, atmospheric, indie pop band, formed in London in 2008. The group released their debut album, "xx" in August 2009 under rave reviews. In 2010, the band won the Mercury Music Prize for their debut opus.

"Coexist" is the upcoming second studio album by these guys. It is set to be released next week through British independent record label Young Turks, with release day varying from country to country.

On July 16, "Angels" was released as the album's lead single. Follow-up single "Chained" was released on August 7: get it on YouTube following this link.

HIM will release a career spanning compilation titled "XX - Two Decades Of Love Metal" on October 29 through Sony Music.

The greatest hits will feature 20 tracks, including Chris Isaak's cover of "Wicked Game" and Kevin Grivois' "Strange World". This second cover will be served as a single and music video starting September 21.

In other HIM's news, the Finnish rockers will entering the studio in early September with the producer Hiili Hiilesmaa to work on their ninth full-length album, entitled "Tears On Tape", to be mixed by Tim Palmer and released early 2013.

Vaudeville, from Minneapolis, MN, are a rock band influenced by the likes of Muse, Brand New, Radiohead, Thrice, Nine Inch Nails, U2, Rage Against the Machine and Shiny Toy Guns.

Their debut album "Vendetta" saw the light of day last June, while the video for the first single and title-track of the record debuted a couple of weeks ago. You can watch it now clicking on the image on the left.

English rockers Deaf Havana have just released the video for "Hunstanton Pier", the fourth single off their second, critical acclaimed album "Fools And Worthless Liars", released last November. Watch the video clicking on the image on the left.

"Fools And Worthless Liars" is set for a special re-release next October, 22: it will feature a complete alternative version of the album, and on iTunes fans will also receive two live videos from the bands sold out London Electric Ballroom show, as well as a digital interactive booklet and photo gallery.

The Script will release their much awaited third studio album, aptly titled "#3", on September, 10 through Sony Music.

The new record, produced by mainmen Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan, was preceded by the lead single, "Hall Of Fame", a duet with Danny's co-The Voice UK judge will.i.am .

At last I found some time to speak about alternative/electronic band Alphanaut: it's a very interesting and accomplished group from Los Angeles that released their sophomore record "Little Sun" a couple of months ago on MAD Music (great name for a label, if you ask me).

With the help of music video director and animator Tonda Ros, Alphanaut realized a touching video for their first single "Back To The Stars", an animated journey into the afterlife, following main character Dingo and his team of Caninauts who guide him from Earth to his place amongst the stardust.
