Indie pop band Hate Drugs from Bakersfield, CA, takes us on a road trip in their new official video for Night II (Divine Providence), a song off their new EP Ponderosa.

"This is the true story of one teenage runaway falling in love with another on the streets of Portland, OR., in the late 90s,” Parker explains. “I normally shy away from writing anything too personal or plainly autobiographical, but the vibe of this song just took me right back to those hot days and cold nights I spent wrapped around the finger of a girl, and our summer trying to find couches to crash on but often settling for cardboard.”

Today, August 20, Arkells unveil Campfire Chords, a stripped back collection featuring 17 of their most beloved songs plus brand new single Quitting You.

As the music landscape continues to evolve in 2020, Arkells took a pause from working on their upcoming studio album and went back to their roots, reinterpreting past material and rediscovering the singer-songwriter spirit that has long informed their trademark sing-a-longs.

Quitting You, the only new song on the album, was inspired by the togetherness of this special project and is about finding comfort in the people closest to you. Campfire Chords marks the band’s first full-length presentation of this side of their music.

"We've never had time to make an 'acoustic record' because we were too busy playing shows and focusing on new music. But we also knew that they felt really good to play in a stripped back way. All of our big rock 'n' roll songs start with an acoustic or piano, so heading back to that place isn’t too much of a stretch. We wanted a healthy mix of our bigger songs and deep cuts. In a time when life as we know it is on hold, rising chanteuse Taylor Colson is leveraging the loneliness caused by COVID-19 to drive home the longing of her new single Hurt Me by debuting her self-filmed video ahead of the release, available everywhere on Friday, August 14th.  The song was co-written by early Halsey collaborator Dylan Jackson Scott and produced by Scott and Charlie Park (lovelytheband) at Suburban Soul Studios in Los Angeles.

Taylor Colson's video for Hurt Me, a haunting and moody track about love, loss, and longing, was filmed exclusively using the Photo Booth app on her Macbook. The clip finds Taylor singing and writhing in an empty apartment. The bare room serves as a fitting metaphor considering the context of the song, which talks about realizing the loss of love and being unable to move forward.

Taylor enrolled in an acting class at age 5, and quickly realized at that tender age she had a love for performing. She started singing in broadway-style shows as a pre-teen and evolved into a full-fledged musical theater performer as a teenager.  Growing up, her musical idols ranged from artists like Whitney Houston, Cher, and Barbara Streisand – to rocker Freddie Mercury of Queen.

Her creative journey progressed when she developed a following on YouTube through a number of videos of highly praised cover songs.  The videos led to an opportunity to open several East Coast gigs for blackbear.  She relocated to Los Angeles in 2017 and connected through mutual friends with Scott, who was a producer on Halsey's first album, "Badlands'. In November of 2019 Colson played her first full-fledged solo shows in Europe, handpicked to open for lovelytheband by Mitchy Collins.

Zachary Kibbee is a Los Angeles rock artist whose style combines his love for blues and classic rock with more modern elements from bands like Sublime and the Red Hot Chili Peppers who also brought a SoCal flair into the equation.

Neon Coven, the darkwave, alternative rock band from Los Angeles, CA, featuring Jacob Bunton (Mick Mars, Adler, Lynam) and Ace Von Johnson (LA Guns, Faster Pussycat) has released its brand new single I'm The New Hit today via New Ocean Media. The song is the second single from the band’s upcoming debut full-length album Future Postponed, following first single Blame It On The Drugs, released last July 6.

I'm The New Hit is "a direct inspiration from all the badass women in our lives. Don’t take any shit. We will always have your back, and you are loved," citing vocalist Anthony Montemarano.

Future Postponed will be released October 30. Produced by Jacob Bunton, the album features 11 tracks ranging from songs about survival and balance to emotionally charged anthems of empowerment. The songs live in the space between challenging the need for certainty and, ultimately, learning to accept uncertainty.
