"These Times" is the third single off the new, upcoming SafetySuit's album; it was released last Tuesday and clicking on the frame on the left you can watch the brand new video for it.

"These Times" is also the title of the sophomore release for the alternative pop rock band from Tulsa/Nashville. The record was produced by the band with the help of Howard Benson, OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder and the Espionage team. The release date was delayed several times due to intra-label changes and the band scrapping several songs, but the album will finally see the light of day next week. Don't miss "These Times", it's the first must-buy of the year!

LES FRICTION are Louder Than Words mercoledì, 4 gennaio 2012 23:10 by madseason
quietdrive

Les Friction is a new band from Los Angeles that rises from the ashes of E.S. Posthumus, an indie group that produced cinematic style music, with classical structure intertwined by orchestral and electronic sounds.

Led by Helmut Vonlichten, Les Friction deliver an epic, pompous, thrilling, orchestrated kind of music that sounds like a mix of Queen and Muse.

Have a taste of their skill downloading two free great, promising songs from their facebook page: "Louder Than Words" and "Torture". Both tracks will appear on Les Friction's debut album, to be relased on January, 24th. And if it weren't enough, the group will be releasing a third free song, "Here Comes The Reign", about a week before the album drops. So keep checking their page!

SHINEDOWN's new album is coming martedì, 3 gennaio 2012 22:58 by madseason
shinedown

Shinedown has announced that their much anticipated new album, "Amaryllis", will arrive in stores and at all digital retailers on March 27th, 2012. "Amaryllis" will be heralded by the eagerly awaited new single, "Bully", that impacts today at rock radios while also going on sale at all DSPs.   Click on the image on the left to watch the lyrics video for "Bully".

Recorded at Cavallo's Lightning Sound studios outside of Los Angeles and a pair of Hollywood landmarks, "Amaryllis" sees Shinedown joining forces once more with multiple Grammy Award-winning producer Rob Cavallo, who previously collaborated with the band on 2008's record-breaking "The Sound Of Madness".

Shinedown frontman Brent Smith explains: "I've always seen Shinedown as its own entity -this living thing that's been growing and developing and evolving over the past 10 years. During the recording, the vision of what Shinedown is and where it's going became completely clear. "Amaryllis" is the manifestation of that vision, the centerpiece of what Shinedown is. It reflects on everything we've done and where we're heading. It's a message of empowerment, perseverance, and inspiration that I think speaks to fans that have been with us since the beginning as well as those who are just learning about who we are and what we're about. I can't wait for the world to hear it".
THE HOLLOW GLOW: why can't this be love? lunedì, 2 gennaio 2012 22:13 by madseason
The Hollow Glow

The Hollow Glow is the brainchild of vocalist and guitar player Ben Carroll, who is best known as a member of the Universal recording great act Ra. Ben has been hard at work recruiting the best that the Portland, ME music scene has to offer. The band's music draws influence from bands like A Perfect Circle, Foo Fighters, Muse, Silversun Pickups, Radiohead and, of course, Ra. In 2010 The Hollow Glow self-released two full length albums: "Out Of The Darkness” (released in May 2010) and "Into The Light" (released in December 2010).

Clicking on the image on the left, you can watch their simple yet effective video for the song "Isn't Love" where, dispite of the title, Ben & Co. show their love for beautiful women. Enjoy.

"We are 2 songs away from completing what we feel is our most compelling recording since we formed this band. It's the record we've been trying to make for many years now. We now understand the struggle to get here was not in vain."

These words come from the guys in Our Lady Peace, the seminal alternative rock band from Toronto, Canada.

While we're waiting for their new record to be released next Spring, we can watch the lyric video for the first single off the album, called "Heavyweight". I like it. Hope you too.

QUIETDRIVE spin their new cover album martedì, 27 dicembre 2011 23:50 by madseason
quietdrive

Powerpoppers Quietdrive from Minneapolis, Minnesota, began a fundraising project on Kickstarter last Summer and on July 31, 2011, just two hours before their deadline, the band exceeded their goal of $15,000 to record the cover album "Your Record / Our Spin". Quietdrive began recording the album in October 2011 and it's finally available now.

The record includes 10 songs voted by Kickstarter-donating fans. Among them, we find a great powerpop remake of the classic Toto song "Africa", a brilliant, moving interpretation of "Say Say Say", originally sung by Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, and an exhilarating tumble-dries version of the famous Night Ranger track "Sister Christian".

All in all, a highly enjoyable, funny album you should check out. Listen to Quietdrive's "Africa" here for a taste of "Your Record / Our Spin".
