Rescue PHOENIX CALLING Wednesday, 22 June 2016 13:05 by madseason
Phoenix Calling - Rescue Me

Phoenix Calling is an alternative rock band from Peterborough, UK. They have just released the amazing new single Rescue Me on The Fort label. The single premiered on the Johnny Doom Kerrang! radio Show and played multiple times since.

For Rescue Me the band worked with producer Lee Batiuk, who produced, engineered and mixed Deaf Havana's Old Souls.

As vocalist Steve Chapman explains, the song focuses on some pretty personal stuff: "Rescue Me was written after seeing a Facebook post by our bass player's father in remembrance of his Dad who had recently passed away. The words were so poetic, honest and heart felt, that I always felt there was a song in there. The song is about loss, memories, reminiscence and being able to find yourself after losing a close friend. Life is short and we should hang onto the times that mean the most to us."

FUENTE: from The Voice to The Water Sunday, 19 June 2016 16:53 by madseason
Fuente - The Water

Brian Fuente is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter known for having been a contestant on the second season of NBC's The Voice as part of Team Blake.
Brian's time in the reality TV spotlight afforded him a lot of opportunities he may not have otherwise been given. He was mentored by Kelly Clarkson, garnered endorsement deals, built an international fanbase, and even toured with arena-packing players the likes of Maroon 5, Gym Class Heroes, and Cobra Starship.

Brian is now performing under the abridged moniker Fuente: he teamed up with band members Ben Azzi, Daniel Johnson and Mike McDonald to pay homage to their love of 70's R&B and childhood idealizations of 80's synth pop. The result, produced by Brian himself and engineered by Joshua V. Smith (Jack White, The Dead Weather, Beck), is a sonic landscape of alternative goodness. Undeniably catchy pop hooks and slick synth production are paired with raw, dynamic vocals and real deal instrumentation that create a unique blend of old-school homage and modern sound.

Fuente's debut project, The Water, ia a back-to-back, two-disc EP installment. The first EP of the installment was released last April 29 and is actually featured on NoiseTrade, where you can download it on a pay-what-you-want-(even-nothing) basis. The Noisetrade EP comes as a special Deluxe Edition, adding 5 remixes of the single The Water.

New Hollow - Popstar

New Hollow is a young American rock act from New Albany, Ohio; they have been playing music since they were 9 and became a band by 13.
They are rock 'n' roll obsessives who know more about old-school bands and equipment than most musicians twice their age, and cite among their influences Pink Floyd, Jeff Buckley, The Smiths, Arctic Monkeys, Zeppelin, Sam Cooke, Nirvana, Haim and Eminem.

Their song She Ain't You scored the teen trio a "Breakthrough Song Of 2013" by Sirius XM's The Pulse and was The Pulse's #18 song of year, while Billboard cited them as one of the "Bands To Watch."

New Hollow release their debut EP, aptly titled "The EP", today, Friday, June 17. The EP was recorded with British producer Mikal Blue (OneRepublic, Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz, Five For Fighting) and Michael J. Clouse III and features the addictive single Popstar: watch the video now clicking on the image.

Living In Fiction - Badly Broken

Self-titled, the record is out on High Vibe Recordings and features the leading single Badly Broken (watch the official video clicking on the image), Wasteland, a song guesting Matt & Trevor Wentworth of Our Last Night, and the brand new single/video Images.

The type of heavy alternative rock Living In Fiction play, with post-hardcore influences, is hardly ground-breaking, but the band showcases a solid songwriting and a huge potential, as the single Badly Broken demonstrates.

Gotta Believe in APOLLO UNDER FIRE Sunday, 12 June 2016 17:04 by madseason
Apollo Under Fire - Apollo Under Fire

Apollo Under Fire is an Alternative Rock band whose core is formed by Donald Carpenter (SubmerseD, Eye Empire) and Peter Klett (Candlebox, Lotus Crush). In early 2014 the two were both coming off the road and had been presented with the opportunity to get in the studio and start writing. During this same time, Carpenter met Tom Costanza (Llamabeats), a self taught drummer from NYC, and invited him to join the group.
During the writing process the band name was born: Apollo is one of the most important and complex figures of Greek and Roman Mythology, the god of Music, Healing, Sun, Light, Poetry... A perfect choice for a band like AUF who root their message in the Spirit and it's purpose to the soul.
By the fall of 2014 Donald, Peter and Tom had the songs for Apollo's debut release ready and began the recording process at LaLa Mansion in Tampa, Florida with Peter at the helm.

After two years of painstaking determination and enduring patience, the guys in Apollo Under Fire signed with Cavigold Records and EMP Management / Label Group headed by David Ellefson (Megadeth) and Thom Hazaert and have begun the process of building their Live Audience.

Apollo Under Fire self-titled album was released last June 3. Check the lyric video for the single Gotta Believe here and sample the whole album clicking on the image.

East Coast Girls for BUTCH WALKER Friday, 10 June 2016 14:19 by madseason
Butch Walker - East Coast Girl (Lyric)

American songwriter, record producer, cult hero and personal favourite Butch Walker will release a brand new album next August 26 called Stay Gold.
Straight from Butch's mouth: "I'm really enjoying listening to this record LOUD. I don't know. The last record was a lot of songs about the death of my Father and it was a beautiful process to go through. But coming out of that, and into a feeling of almost "celebration", I felt the need to write it and record it. It's a drunken trip down memory lane for sure."

The first song off the album is East Coast Girl, an awesome, catchy rock track with 80's/New Jersey vibes all over it. Watch the "hot" lyric video now clicking on the image, a preview of Stay Gold here and a live acoustic rendition of the title-track here.

If, Then RAMONDA HAMMER Wednesday, 8 June 2016 21:36 by madseason
Ramonda Hammer - If, Then

Let me return to brilliant rockers Ramonda Hammer and their recently released album Whatever That Means, as the Californians have just unleashed the brand new video for If, Then, the second single off the LP.

The song is a perfect summation of the band's artistic point of reference that is rich with heavy guitar hooks, reminiscent of The Smashing Pumpkins and The Pixies, and lyrical introspection.

While the music video for their debut single, Goddamn Idiot, was a hilarious parody of the show Cheaters, for the new video Ramonda Hammer takes a more sober position of exploring the pain and frustration of finding one's place in the world. Produced by Vincent Hall and directed by Michael Chance, the If, Then video finds a lonely and misunderstood girl, played by Meghan Cox, who connects with the song in a cathartic release as she watches the band performing at an underground show. The show scenes were filmed at Los Angeles' legendary DIY music venue, The Smell, which truly captivated the dark, angsty mood of the music. With breathtaking visuals that include fragmented objects frozen in space to reflect the same feeling of isolation the main character of the video feels, this video is Ramonda Hammer's most fully realized work yet. Watch it now clicking on the image.
