Divided Seasons - Life After Left

Divided Seasons is an interesting American modern rock/alternative metal act from Alabama that could appeal to fans of 10 Years, Breaking Benjamin and Shinedown.

"When The Bough Breaks" is the title of their new, second album; it was independently released last February 24 and features the single "Life After Left" (watch the video clicking on the image).

Dark In the Imagination OF VERONA Monday, 23 February 2015 21:48 by madseason
of Verona - Dark In My Imagination

I already covered brilliant progressive electro-pop rock band of Verona a couple of times, when the Americans released their debut album "The White Apple" in 2012.

The group fronted by the talented vocalist Mandi Perkins has just sent un update, stating that, for the past six months, they have been working on new music and videos and are finally getting ready to release it all this Spring.

Meanwhile, their song "Dark In My Imagination", off "The White Apple", has nearly reached 800,000 plays on SoundCloud: "It's especially mind-blowing since everything we have done so far has been without any record label and without any sort of secret marketing machine; It has just been us and you. And thanks to you guys, our new mix of the song is currently Number One on the influential Hype Machine Popular Chart. For all of you that use Hype Machine, we would love for you to continue the buzz and give it a 'heart' here."

Because "Dark In My Imagination" has been doing so well, Of Verona recently decided to do a proper music video for it, which you can check out clicking on the image above.

One Like Son - Interstellar

Great stuff for powerpop fans: One Like Son is the creature of singer/songwriter Stephen Poff.

If you like Cheap Trick, Fountains Of Wayne, Enuff Z'Nuff, Sugarbomb, Jimmy Eat World, Weezer, then One Like Son is for you!

Knife Wounds from BROTHERS BORN Thursday, 19 February 2015 22:53 by madseason
Brothers Born - Knife Wounds

Brothers Born is a new indie rock band formed by the metal guitarist Joel Stroetzel (Killswitch Engage, Aftershock) and country-tinged singer-songwriter Michael Wyzik (Red Door Exchange, Storm The Ohio).

The duo formed after becoming friends and hanging out at the legendary Brass Cat pub near their hometown of Easthampton, MA. The two soon realized an affinity for similar musical influences: the dark, folky sounds of Tom Waits and Nick Cave, as well as anthemic rock from artists like Longwave, The Church and Blue Nile.

The debut album of Brothers Born will be released next Tuesday: "Knife Wounds" is a nice collection of engaging dark, soulful indie rock songs. Get a taste of the record streaming "Parachute" and the title-track on SoundCloud.

Ghosts Of Eden released their debut eight song LP last February 10. Titled "What Makes You Happy", the album was produced by Mike Watts (As Tall as Lions, Story Of The Year, The Dear Hunter) and features the singles "Happy" (click to watch the official lyric video) and "Prizefighter" (click to watch an unofficial fan video).
