Australian alternative rockers Birds Of Tokyo have a brand new song out: it's titled Good Lord.

Good Lord is a very emotional tune based on the real-life experience of lead vocalist Ian Kenny's marriage breakdown.

"You get married and you think you're gonna live happily ever after. But one day unexpectedly you see something that literally shatters your whole world. Then you have to spend years trying to put your head and heart back together. I know I'm not the first person to go through it, and unfortunately I won't be the last, but it still hurt like hell and you can hear that in this song" says Kelly about the song.

Show You What I Can Do is the tilte of the brand new single and video from American indie pop rockers Royal Teeth.

"The song is about showing the world what you’re made of. We tend to hide pieces of ourselves because we are afraid of negativity, and I’ve noticed from my own experiences that it only holds me back from truly being myself and achieving my goals in life. This song is saying that it’s time to be brave and be yourself" said Gary Larsen, Royal Teeth singer and guitarist, on the new song, adding "My Dad is a race car driver, and I used to go a lot as a kid. When we started thinking of ideas for the music video, I became obsessed with using the race track as the location, and from there, we brought the idea to life with the help of Solar Cabin, Tunde Olaniran, and the Whitlow family. My dad is even in the video as Nora's coach, and Nora is driving his car "Underdog". A fitting name for the song and for this band."

Horror Films is the title of talker's new EP, released last Friday, February 22 and featuring the single Intimidated.

Inspired by alternative rock, grunge music, and indie singer-songwriters, talker (stage name of Celeste Tauchar) maintains a guitar-based sound while infusing organic resonances and bringing in modern production elements. Horror Films is talker's diary, in which every single composition delves into her emotions.

talker's first EP, Horror Films aims to take her in a new life direction by overcoming fears. "I try to be super authentic and honest, and I think sometimes that, combined with the music industry's cut-throat nature, makes me feel like the girl walking down the dark and creepy hallway in a horror film -- she's definitely not supposed to go in there! Except with this EP, going in there just brings out my raw emotions and hopefully something for people to connect to," talker explains.

All five compositions that comprise Horror Films were written and co-produced by talker with the help from Dan Sadin (guitarist, FRENSHIP) and Phil Simmonds (Jessie J, Eryn Allen Kane). Mastered by Dave Harris, and mixed by Mike Pepe and Jesse Ernster, Horror Films is a well-collaborated project that speaks to the emotive power of music. The team worked to express the true passion behind the EP, and they were so successful at doing so that talker became emotional while tracking vocals.

Toronto-based rocker Skye Wallace has just released Coal In Your Window, the first single from her forthcoming new, self-titled album coming June 7.

Skye wrote Coal In Your Window in a building in Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland that used to be an old cottage hospital. It was inspired by a story I heard about one of the young folks that used to work in the hospital and the boy that would throw coal at her window at night to beckon her down to their meeting place in the boiler room.

Coal In Your Window may be about a specific story, but it's a truly universal concept of jittery, passionate love and doing whatever it takes to access that fire that another person ignites in you. Skye wanted to evoke an excited, dangerous, lustful energy that gets the heart pumping.

Skye's previous album Something Wicked, was produced by musician/songwriter Jim Bryson. It was named one of Vancouver Weekly's Best Albums of 2016, CBC's Top 8 Albums You Need To Hear This Month, and was dubbed by CBC's Stephen Quinn, a "kick ass record".

Los Angeles alternative band Charming Liars are ramping up for the release of their new Thought, Flesh And Bone album on March 1, with new single and video Time To Start.  

Frontman Kiliyan Maguire says: "While Time to Start ushers in our new LP Thought, Flesh And Bone, it also serves as the final installment to our video trilogy Spoon which was filmed on location in New Orleans. At its root Time To Start grows from the same strange water that feeds any new beginning. Memphis, Tennessee quintet Savage After Midnight are gearing up for the release of their debut EP, 11:59 (RED Music/The Century Family) on March 8, with an east coast run of tour dates with Pop Evil.

The band connected with producer John Falls (Egypt Central) and recorded what would become the 11:59 EP.

10 Feet Tall, the first single and video release from the EP, is already making inroads at SiriusXm Octane and Music Choice.  It's anthemic and energizing, building from a melodic verse, through a propulsive bridge and into an unforgettable chorus.
